Rosie's POV

My eyes widened.

My mother forced her to expose my secret!?

My mom knew about the Rouge Wolf gang wanting a bounty on my head.

Why did she do that?

"Josie, it is not your fault. I don't blame you. You can't let people manipulate you like that."

"I was scared she threatened my brother and my parents."

I grew angry.

My mother has been threatening everyone close to me.

What does she want?

"I'll be right back."

I left Josie's room.

I ran out of the pack house and into the woods.

'Cupcake, where are you?' Jonathan mind linked me.

'Not now, Jonathan. I'll be back soon. Don't bother looking for me.'

'Well, where are you and I won't look for you.'

'I'm in the woods. I need to be alone.'

I blocked him out and continued walking deeper into the woods.

I hope I'm walking the right way.

I kept walking until I came up to a familiar clearing.

This is the last place I saw my mother and Wyatt.

"How do I get her to come here?" I asked myself.

"I'm already here." I heard a voice behind me.

I turned around and saw my mother.

This time there was no one with her.

She was alone.

"Why do you do this to me?" I asked. "Why do you threaten everyone I love?"

"Honey, you and I both know humans are pathetic. They don't deserve to walk this earth."

"That doesn't answer my question."

"I did all of this so that when you would come of age, you would restore my powers."

"Why would I do that?" 

"Because your arrogant sister took them away from me. She didn't understand."

"You killed her. You killed your own daughter." I glared.

"She killed herself. She's the one who took my powers and couldn't handle it. I had much more power than she thought."

"I will not make the same mistake she did. I will not restore your powers."

"Fine don't restore them. Go run off with that little Alpha of yours." 

"I will. He is the one I love, not Wyatt."

"But has he told you everything?"

"Yeah, he has."

"Honey, no he hasn't. He's keeping something from you, just you wait."

"I don't believe you. He would never do anything to hurt me."

"That's true, but for your sake ask him about mates."

She cackled as she disappeared into the forest.

'Valentine, Circe, what did she mean by that?' I asked them.

'I don't know. We are new to this world.' Valentine responded.

Jonathan said mates were just a myth.
