Ella gasped out loud as she woke up and smiled in relief as she stared at the ceiling, I'm still at home, thank heavens it was just a dream, she thought. She blinked and stared at the ceiling and thought of her weird dream. She chuckled lightly at the hallucinations she was having, since the ceiling didn't look like the one in her attic. A second later, she frowned as she sat up and looked around the room, this is definitely not my attic, she thought. She looked down expecting to find her daily clothes but, instead she saw her mother's dress whose sleeve had been torn by her evil stepmother. She pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming and reality dawned on her when the pinch stung her arm.

She quickly gathered herself as she got down from the bed and looked around the room, it was a large bedroom with a queen size bed and the decorations looked expensive and classic. She walked towards the window and her eyes widened as she stared at the distance between her room and the ground. She stumbled back and fell on the floor as she tried making sense of things.

She had seen a monster and her fairy godmother last night and as fairy godmother said, the magic would only last so long and everything will be back to its original by midnight, that explained her clothing. But, she still wasn't sure of the monster she had seen. The monster she had seen was just an imagination, right? She thought to herself as she glanced around the room and realised she was still in the castle.

Ella frowned as she heard some snoring and her eyes widened as she heard another person in the room, she gulped slowly as she was scared to look at the other person in the room. She closed her eyes as she turned her head and she peeked through her left eye, anticipating for the monster to jump on her out of nowhere but, she scowled as she saw no one. She stood up and dusted her dress and walked towards the source of snoring. She reached the wardrobe and heard no movement. She placed her hand on the drawer knob and opened it roughly only, to find pieces of clothing folded inside neatly.

She blinked as she retreated back but, stopped in her tracks as she heard a soft cough, coming from behind the dressing table. She grabbed a heavy metal decorative piece kept on the table and walked towards the dressing table slowly, not daring to make any noise. She held the piece in her hand in an attacking position and as she neared the dressing table she saw some movement and immediately hit it hard and let the piece fall down. She heard crying of pain as she searched to find a person but, instead she found a candle stand lying on the ground. Her eyes widened as she saw the candle stand get up and stand in front of her. She grabbed the decorative piece lying on the floor and hit the candle stand again with it. She frowned as she heard, "Oh, you're quite strong. This is a great quality." She stumbled back in horror as she saw the candle-stand stand up and it had facial features like a man and the body too. He lit the candle on his head as he looked up and used the it to light the candles on his hands.

Ella gasped as she asked, "What are you?"

The candle-stand man smiled up at her as he spoke, "I'm Lumière!" He replied enthusiastically bowing in front of her.

"And you can talk?" Ella exclaimed as she looked at him.

"Well of course, he can talk. It's all he ever does." Ella heard a new voice and she turned towards the said voice and saw a clock walking towards her, huffing lightly as it talked slowly.

"Lumière, as the head of the castle, I request you to help her." The clock said as he approached Lumière and stood beside him. Ella turned to look for another weapon but, she found only one small plate nonetheless she picked it up, ready to fight.

She heard Lumière whisper to the clock, "What do you want to be for the rest of your life, Cogsworth? Trust me on this." He turned to Ella as he said, "Come on, miss." Ella struggled to make a decision as she wanted to run away as far as possible but, also follow them out. She decided on the later as she was unaware of the ways to get out of this castle and it would be helpful for her to look around. She threw the plate on the bed as she followed them out, wiping the sweat of her palm on her dress.
