Jimmy headed home, on the way he picked up a six-pack of beer.   Atty and Brook wherein the den having tea and crackers, when he walks into the house with a very depressing look.

"Hello, ladies, sorry that I miss our daily walk," he said as he kissed his daughter on the top of her head.  "Hello, like some tea," she asked  Atty glanced at Mr. Hangler in a strange way, he felt something was very wrong.  "Father, are you all right?" Brook asked as she also senses that something is very wrong.  "No, baby everything is fine.  Well, I was thinking of something, but I'm not sure if, you'll agree," he muttered as he opened a beer as he sat down.  "What is it, father?  Spit it out," she said with a smile.    "What if you can see?  Would you like that?" her father asked.  "What? But I can't see, and that's all I know. So that what if, I am not able to answer." she replied

"Look, I've been doing a lot of thinking.  I won't be here forever.  Atty, might not be here forever. I need to make sure, you are able to live a normal life if anything should happen to me.  I heard about this fancy doctor, they will examine you.  If they are able to repair your eyes with a laser, they will.  I was thinking maybe you should try.  Just see what the doctor says." explained Jimmy with a worried smile.   "Father, is there anything wrong with you? Are you sick?" she asked  "No, I'm saying, technology is very advance if you are able to see, why not?" he replied  "Father that will cost a lot of money.  My sickness has left us almost broke. I can't ask you to do this." Brook replied with a concern expression.

"Look, we have enough, besides, if you do get to see, your life will be much easier," he explained with a sweet and tender tone.  "Father, I like the whole idea, but what if they can't fix my eyes?" she muttered   "That won't happen, but if it does, I'll buy you new eyes.  I'll help you, no matter what it cost.  So can I set up the appointment with the eye surgeon?" he asked   "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.  But I won't believe it until it happens." she said as she gave Jimmy a hug.

"Good, I'll be right back," he said as he got his coat and headed out.  "Where are you going now Father?' asked Brook.    "I'll be back," he said as he went on his way.  Atty follow him outside, "Wait, Jimmy, what's going on.  You acting weird and believe me if I noticed your behavior, I'm sure Brook also noticed." she said as she walked behind him.    "There's nothing wrong.  Look, I just want the best for my daughter.  I would like for you to finally see the world.  What's wrong with that?" he said as he continues to walk away.    Atty stopped following him.   She shook her hand and walked back into the house.

"Father's acting weird, wasn't he?' asked Brook  "Not really, that's the way he gets when he's excited about something. " Atty replied    "So, may I asked you something?" said Brook  "Sure sweety what is it?" she replied   "What do you think about Father's idea?  I really want to believe that I can see someday.  But I don't want to believe in something that is never going to happen." explained Brook    Atty looked at her.  Her heart felt so bad,  "Look, it's good to believe in miracles, never stop.  Your father might have a point, so let's see what the doctor's say before jumping into anything thoughts." she explained as she helped her up onto the bed, for her nap.

"Yes, I guess you have a point.  We'll talk later," she said as she turned over to her side and fell asleep.

Mr. Hargley headed straight to the bank.  He went inside and ask the clerk his balance sheet.  He had twenty-five thousand dollars left, that what the clerk told him.  He said thank you and walked out of the bank without withdrawing any money.   He took out his cell,  Ring, Ring" "Hello" "Doctor Ritter, my doctor had your card in the waiting room.  I understand you're an eye specialist." he said  "Yes, I left some of my cards in my cousin's office.  How can I been of assistance?" the doctor asked.

"My daughter has been blind for about two years.  She was in this car accident, along with her mother.  Her mother didn't make it, but she did.  But she was left blind." Jimmy explained  "Sorry for your lost.  I really can't diagnose anything through the phone.  I will need to examine her eye first. Maybe laser, but something after trauma, loss of vision, doesn't come back without a transplant.  But let's see after I take a look, then we'll see how I'm able to help." said Doctor Ritter politely.   "What will it cost me?" asked Jimmy  "If your daughter has HMO, that pays most of the bills.  Look I have an opening next Wednesday at ten in the morning.  Will you be able to make it then?" asked the doctor  "Sure," he replied  "What's your daughter's name?" asked the doctor   "Brook Hangley,  thank you." replied Jimmy "Well, I'll see you then." said the doctor as he hangs up the phone.

"God, please, I'm dying anyway, help me accomplished this for my baby," he whispered as he headed back home.
