They arrived home and Atty and Jimmy help Brook out the car. They head inside, "Well, I have a couple of calls to make." he said as he headed to his den. "No, you don't, father. Get back over here and tell me what you know." said the blind young girl. "Fine, let's all sit down," he whispered as he sat on the sofa and the others did the same.
"Listen, before I tell you this, I must let you know, not to give up hope. Cause I know you will see again. The doctor said that your eyes are dead, that laser surgery won't do you any good. He needs an eye transplant." he explained as he hugs her. "So what does that mean?" she replied "It means that someone has to die in order for you to see." said Atty "Why do you have to make it sound so horrible?" said Jimmy as he pushes Atty away from Brook.
"Father is that true?" she asked "Yes, it's something like that. Some people are organ donors, that means when they pass away, the doctors are allowed to removed certain organs, to save other people's lives. So your doctor has placed you on the waiting list." explained her father "But, what if the list is long? How long will I have to wait?" she asked with a sad look on her face. "You see, ass hole, I told you not to bring up her hopes for nothing. I'll be in the kitchen making dinner," said Atty as she shoved Jimmy and walked away.
"Bitch there is hope. Don't listen to her, believe me, you will see someday. Now, listen to your music, I need to make a couple of phone calls." he said as he kisses his daughter on the head and walks to his room. "Wow, maybe Atty is right, there's no hope." she thought as she placed her headphones on and sat there trying to listen to some music, which was difficult because her mind was on the comments that Atty said.
Jimmy entered his den and quickly got on the phone with one of his buddies. "Jack, it'Is s me Jimmy." he said "Hey, what's up man?" he replied "Can you get a hold of your cousin Nathing? I need him to hack something for me." he explained "You now he fucker charges a pretty penny? Jack replied "I know, money no object, I pay whatever he wants, call him and give him my number." said Jimmy "Hey, is everything alright?" he asked "No, it's all good on this side of the world. Call him for me, don't forget." said Jimmy "Will do, later man," said Jack, "Later," said Jimmy as he hung up the phone. He then sat down and stared out the window waiting for Nathing to contact him. "Baby I've made you a promise, and you will see before I die." he thought as his mind wondered.
Minutes later his cell phone rang, "Ring, Ring," "Hello," said Jimmy "Hey Jimmy, dude it's me Nathing. My cousin told me you need me. What's up man?" he asked "You still fuck around hacking computers, right?" he asked "Of course, dude, I have to pay the bills. What do you need?" he replied "Is it possible to hack the donor list. You know, where they show the address of all the organ donors?" he asked "One thing remember with me, anything is possible. So you need the organ donor, database, is that what you want?" he asked, "Yes, can you do it?" Jimmy asked
"Yes, I think that's possible to do. But you know it's going to cost you?" he replied "Name your price." replied Jimmy "Fifteen hundred, half now and a half when you get your info." said Jack. "Fine, so stop by tomorrow and pick up the first half. Call me first I don't want my brother nor nanny to know about this." he explained "No problem, you're the boss." he said as he hung up the phone. "Later," Jimmy said as he hung up, then a big smile came over his face.
Meanwhile, Atty has gotten dinner ready. She came towards the den's door and knocked. "Yes," Jimmy replied "Dinner's ready," said Atty as she then went to help Brook get ready for dinner. Jimmy sat at the dinner table. The atmosphere was very acquired. Again Brook couldn't see, the looks on Atty's and her father's face, but she could sense the tension. He ate her dinner and didn't say a word. Atty and her father did the same.
