"You better not be messing around here Caroline" Klaus managed to get out while shifting both him and Caroline into a sitting position.
To say that Klaus was shocked would be an understatement. He recalled telling Caroline a few years back, that he has always wanted to paint someone in the nude, which she commented that - of course - she could never pose naked for someone as she'd be too embarrassed to do so. So now, hearing her ask him to paint her nude, he couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement and doubt pass through his veins.
Caroline couldn't stop the blush from demanding entrance to her cheeks. She couldn't believe she had actually asked him to paint her naked - she had no idea where her courage came from, but judging by the look of raw desire in his eyes, she knew she couldn't take it back, and that he wouldn't let it go - though honestly, she didn't want to.
What harm could it do anyway? She inwardly asked herself.
"I'm being serious Nik. Completely serious. Anyway, you are never going to see another women naked again, so you better get used to all this." She said cheekily, earning a lustful stare from Klaus.
"Now that is something I can live with." He smirked before leaning in to kiss her once more, but before their lips could meet, Caroline let out a loud yawn.
"Sorry." She murmured sheepishly, causing Klaus to chuckle at her.
"It's quite alright sweetheart." He muttered as he planted a sweet kiss on her temple. "Let's get some sleep."
Pulling the quilt over them both and settling into the bed so they were spooning, they both started to drift off into a peaceful slumber.
"I love you Nik." Caroline whispers sleepily, causing Klaus to smile softly.
"I love you too Care-bear." He whispers back, causing her to smile in return.
---------------
Caroline woke up around half nine in the morning, grinning like an idiot after remembering hers and Klaus' conversation the previous night, when she noticed the absents of a warm body that should have been next to her. Shifting herself so she was sitting up in the bed, she didn't have time to wonder where Klaus could have gone as she saw a trail of rose petals travel from off the bed to behind the closed bedroom door.
"What in the world..." She muttered.
After stretching, running her fingers through her bed hair and quickly washing her face and brushing her teeth, she followed the rose petals which traveled all the way downstairs and into the kitchen.
Caroline gasped loudly as she entered the kitchen. The kitchen island was filled with a variety of fruits and juices, she could also smell bacon being cooked. Looking over to her right, Klaus stood there with his back to her, cooking bacon, eggs and toast, while humming to the faint music coming from the radio. Caroline took her time admiring Klaus' body, watching the way his back muscles tightens as he moves his arms to and fro.
"Good morning my love." Klaus' voice snapped Caroline out of her daydream.
Realizing she must have been staring at him longer than she thought and got caught doing it, a deep blush crept up on her face. She let out a sheepish good morning which Klaus chuckled at, clearly finding her embarrassment entertaining.
After denying her offer to help and telling her to sit at the island, Klaus placed the now cooked food on plates and made his way over to Caroline, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, they both tucked into their breakfast talking and laughing about embarrassing memories and plans for later today.
