Natalie's POV
We walked home after we finished eating and walked around town. "I don't think I'll ever be able to make as many memories in Colorado as I did here." I said "Hey you can always come back after you finish college." Luke suggested. I nodded and looked at a bench. I dragged Luke over there and we talked for a while. "Aaron really doesn't know what he's missing out on." Luke said. "Luke can we just not talk about him okay, remember that time when we made a mud pie and made dad eat it." I said laughing. "Yeah he was really sick that week." I nodded and my smile turned into a frown. "I really wish mom could've been here to see us graduate and go to prom." I said getting teary eyed. "Hey she's watching and I bet she's really proud of you. I am and so is dad. Mom will always be there for us whether or not we can see her." He said bringing me into a tight hug. I let a few loose tears escape my eyes and land on his shoulder, and I could feel Luke's hit my own shoulder. "C'mon we need to start getting ready for prom." Luke said. I nodded and we raced home. We each got a shower and I ran to my room and put on some shorts and a sleeveless top so I could easily slip on my dress without ruining my hair. I started to put up my hair in a cute bun I had learned from Cadenza.I finished and took of my clothes and slipped my dress over my body. It fit nicely and I walked through the house to find Luke letting in Katelyn, Lucinda, Garroth, and Laurance. "Hey guys." I said as they all got in. "Wow you look great Natalie." They all said in unison. I smiled and could feel my cheeks heat up from embarrassment. "Thanks. Luke go get your tux on." He ran upstairs and I went on put on my black heels that I got the other day. "Cadenza do I need anything else?" I asked. She ran to my room and came back with some mascara. "It'll make your lashes look even prettier." I nodded and applied it. "There better?" Cadenza nodded and Luke came down half tangled in his tie and I noticed Garroth was having some trouble. I fixed Luke's first and then Garroth's. "How can you do this so well?" Luke asked me and Laurance. We both pointed to Cadenza who was laughing a little. We all loaded into my and Katelyn's car. The girls and I got into her jeep and the boys went in my Kia. Once we got there I could hear the loud and popular music playing. I got excited and linked arms with Luke, but stopped quick and my stomach dropped. I ran back into the hallway noticing Aaron across the gym. Luke followed me and put his hand on my shoulder. "Hey you and me are gonna strut our stuff in front of Ivy and Aaron and they are both gonna regret never being with us." He said smiling at me. I nodded gaining some confidence and I linked arms with Luke once again and we walked through the doors. I heard everyone stop talking to look at me and Luke. I smiled and I could feel Aaron's gaze on me. I ignored him and Katelyn grabbed my arm. I nodded and took the stage and grabbed a microphone. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen to this year's prom. I am happy that I get to graduate with some of you, but I would like to expose one person who has done me and my friends wrong for so long." Aphmau, Katelyn, Cadenza, and Lucinda, along with my brother got on the stage with me. "She rejected my brother when we were freshmen because he was nerdy looking, but my brother is the sweetest person. She made fun of Aphmau, called her names, and shoved her in a locked that I saved her from. She broke Lucinda's broom and proceeded to call her a freak, she called Katelyn an ugly blueberry, she calls Cadenza's clothing ugly and calls her talent less. As for me she made my life a living hell by attacking me and my friends, so tonight I just wanted to show you the true person Ivy really is." I said smirking. "I'm supposed to sing for you guys so I chose a song that I can relate to tonight."
Feeling used
But I'm
Still missing you
And I can't
See the end of this
Just wanna feel your kiss
Against my lips
And now all this time
Is passing by
But I still can't seem to tell you why
It hurts me every time I see you
Realize how much I need you I hate you, I love you
I hate that I love you
Don't want to but I can't put nobody else above you
I hate you, I love you
I hate that I want you
You want her, you need her
And I'll never be herI noticed that Aaron was listening to me intently as I stopped singing. I handed Katelyn the mic and I ignored the people that were clapping and ran out of the gym and past Luke. I took my heels off and sprinted into the music room and closed myself in one of the practice rooms. I heard a knock on the door, but I didn't answer. "Natalie it's Garroth, Ivy told me she set up the whole thing with Aaron." He said through the door. I heard more footsteps and whispering. "Natalie it's Aaron, I'm opening the door." He said. I crawled to the corner of the room and buried my face in my knees. I heard the door open and I looked up to see Aaron sitting in front of me. "Natalie I swear to god that I would never get with Lily. She's annoying and I always wanted to be with you. I don't think I could ever be with someone other than you. You always knew how to cheer me up and I love you so much. You have always been there for me now I want to be there for you." He said his voice cracking. I looked up and noticed tears running down his face. "Do you really mean it?" I asked looking at his sad brown eyes. "Of course I do." He said. I thought back to the note in his jacket. I launched myself into his arms and hugged him tightly. "I love you too." I whispered. We let go of each other and I wiped away his tears and smiled. "You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do this." I said. I cut him off by softly placing my lips against his and he returned the kiss. Once we separated I smirked at Aaron's blushing face. "I'll never be able to find anyone like you Aaron. I'm leaving to go to Colorado after graduation, I promise I'll come back. I will always come back to my favorite werewolf." I said tears threatening to slip onto my cheeks. "Well then I'll just wait for you." He replied standing up. "But for now we make the most out of our time here, right now." He said helping me to my feet. We walked out of the music room and Luke was waiting for us. He smiled and pat Aaron on the shoulder. "Take good care of her Aaron." I hugged him and kissed Luke's cheek. "I love you." I said. "C'mon I think they were about to present something to everyone. Laurance and some other guy put it together." He said. I nodded and linked arms with Aaron and we walked back into the gym. I looked at the white sheet that was being set up and Laurance behind a Polaroid projector. "Ladies and gentlemen. Tonight I have a lot of people to thank, me and some of my friends have one person in particular to thank." Laurance began. Aaron left my side and joined the girls, Garroth, and my brother. "Natalie we want to thank you for always being there for us and protecting us juniors from the seniors. When I met you my freshman year I was so scared until you introduced me to people and made us the people we are today. We wanted to thank you." He pressed a button and I looked back at the white sheet. It was the Polaroid pictures that I thought were in my jacket. Aaron must've seen them and thought of this. The last one was of all of us and I smiled. I felt a tear and I wiped it away, while Aaron handed me a mic. "Okay I think that's enough of the sappy stuff. Thank you guys so much and I can't wait till us seniors graduate from this hell hole." I said. I grabbed Aaron's hand and dragged him onto the dance floor. "I don't know how to dance." He said as a slow song started. I lead one hand to my waist and grasped the other one in my hand. "Now just sway with me." I said slowing swaying to the music. We danced for a little before he spun me. "A little spice there." I commented before giving a little laugh. "I love you Natalie." He whispered before leaning down to peck my cheek. "I love you too Aaron."
