Chapter 5

Aaron's POV
I just watched as she drove off and I turned around to find Dante slightly smiling in innocence. I glared at him and went inside and grabbed my bag. I went upstairs and changed into regular clothes and noticed an open door. It had a suitcase on it and a green journal. I opened it and flipped through the pages. It was of me and Natalie studying. Us in the forest and in the tree. The drawings were beautiful and well drawn. I have to go find her. 

Natalie's POV
I drove into the parking lot of the school. "What the hell?" I asked myself opening the door and getting out of my car. I looked for an open entrance and noticed an open window. Perfect. I grabbed my bag of clothes ran and jumped through the opening. "Kind of empty." I said. "That's it." I ran to the music room and entered one of the practice rooms. There laid my ukulele with some sheet music. I picked it and strummed the cords and started to play. 

Lets go in the garden
You'll find something waiting
Right there where you left it

I heard something crash in the band room and stopped singing. I slipped on some shorts and a tee-shirt and held my ukulele getting ready to hit someone. "Dammit." Aaron...I turned off the light in the practice room and opened the door to find Aaron standing in front of the door. "I wanted to make sure you were okay." He said rubbing the back of his neck. "Well I'm fin-" He cut me off by kissing me softly. "Aaron...I can't..." I stuttered before shoving past him. I ran to the window, jumped out, and ran back to my car. I opened the door and sped off back to Cadenza's. I lifted my fingers to lips where his once were. I parked my car in the driveway and opened the door and ran to my room. "Natalie where have you been?" Nicole asked as I slammed my door close. He kissed me and I just left him there. "Natalie open the door." Nicole ordered. I heard whispering and I just ignored it. I loved him and he loved me, but I just left him there. He is probably so heartbroken. I let a few tears slip down my cheek. "I don't want to talk I'm going to just head back to my own house okay." I said packing my stuff. I looked over at the bedside table and there lay my drawing journal open. Aaron looked in it...why did I do that. "Natalie you can't I promised your dad that you would be safe." Cadenza said. "What happened to Natalie?" I heard Laurance ask. I grabbed my suitcase and opened the door to see every standing there with a worried expression painted across their face. "I'll be fine on my own I'm a wolf for Irene's sake I think I can take care of myself." I said before storming downstairs and opening the door. "Thank you for the hospitality, really I do appreciate it, but something has come up. I just need to be alone for a couple of days." I said holding back tears. I ran downstairs with my suitcase and walked out of the door. I tossed my case in the passenger seat and drove away as fast as the speed limit would let me. I don't think I'll able to face Aaron for a while...I just left him there alone after he tried to tell me his feelings. At least I think that's what he tried to do. I parked the car and grabbed my suitcase and tugged it along as I made my way to my door. Thoughts were going through my head. How would I talk to him, how would sitting next to him be like, what would he say? I just couldn't take the chance of losing him and maybe I lost him forever anyway. I stormed upstairs and collapsed onto my bed. I needed to take a shower to get the chlorine out of my hair. I got up and walked into the bathroom and pulled a towel and put it on the counter for me to grab. I undressed and jumped into the shower and let the warm water hit my back gently. It felt nice and relaxing. I poured some shampoo into my hand and lathered it through my hair. I finished my shower and wrapped the towel around my body. I ran into my room and got dressed in some leggings and a big hoodie. I walked downstairs and went into the kitchen to make myself some dinner. I got out some lunch meat, bread, mustard, and mayo and constructed a sandwich and got some chips and put them in a bowl. I walked over to the couch and started eating while watching some TV. My phone buzzed and I froze up. I didn't know who it was, but whoever it would be is someone I didn't want to talk to. I picked up my phone and saw a text from my twin brother Lucas. I was confused he was supposed to be at the military school. I read it and it said open your door. I got up and opened my door and there he stood. Tears stung my eyes and I launched myself at him hugging him tightly. "Your home. I missed you so much." I sobbed into the crook of his neck. He held me tightly and finally let go after a few seconds. He smiled and wiped tears from my face and we got up from the floor. I looked behind him and noticed Aaron with a hurt expression. I ran inside quickly hiding from Aaron. "Hey what was that about?" Lucas asked with a concerned expression. He set down his bag near the stairs and stood in front of me. "Aaron. That's what. He was my best friend and I'm pretty sure I liked him, but he kissed me." I explained sitting down on the couch. "Isn't that good?" He asked sitting next to me and putting his arm around my shoulders. "No I didn't tell him because I was afraid to lose him and I did anyway. He must hate me." I said leaning into Luke. "Hey if he does anything funny he'll deal with me. Wait why don't you have your tail out?" He asked looking for my white tail that matched his own. "I was at a pool party and didn't want a tail in the way." I said simply. I gasped and smiled brightly. "What?" Lucas said looking at me with a worried expression. "We should dress the same tomorrow. I mean it is your first day back at Phoenix Drop High. Why don't we be actual twins." I said getting up letting my tail come back. "Sure I would love to be twins with my twin. How do you want to dress?" He asked me smiling getting up to stand next to me. "I'll were a pair of skinny jeans with a red tank top and my black and grey flannel. Do you have anything to match?" He stood silent for a moment and then ran to his bag and pulled out a red v-neck, some jeans, and a flannel that matched my own. "How about this?" He asked laughing lightly. I gave him a thumbs up and noticed it was getting dark outside. "Hey we should get some sleep." I said grabbing the dishes from the couch and putting them on the counter. "Yeah we should. I'll see you in the morning Nat." He said grabbing his stuff. "Night Luke." I said before walking upstairs. I ran into my room and plucked a pair of shorts and a tank top from my drawers and put them on. I then remembered how scared Luke was of snakes. I grabbed my corn snake Serpentina and let her coil around my wrist. I stroked my harmless little angel softly and then snuck out of my room and into Luke's and hid my hand behind me back. "Hey Luke I forgot to introduce you to our new pet." I said with a smirk. He turned to me and I revealed Serpentina. He froze and whispered a curse. "Natalie I swear if you bring that thing near me I will scream like a thirteen year old girl at a one direction concert." I laughed and stepped towards him. "She is harmless, she's just a corn snake they don't bite humans unless they are injured and she isn't venomous." I explained as he grew closer to me. He walked over to me hesitantly and stroked her head. "Okay I think that is enough snake petting for today go to bed." He said putting his hands on his hips. "Fiiiiiine." I groaned and walked out of his room and put Serpentina back in her tank. I slipped under my covers and let myself drift to sleep.
