Chapter 11

Natalie's POV
I got dressed for school and looked at my dress and Luke's tux and smiled at it. I knocked on Luke's door and opened it a slight bit. "LUKE WAKE UP OR I'LL DANCE ALONE TONIGHT!" I screamed. He shot out of bed and started to get dressed and I went downstairs. I heard a thump and an ow follow it. "I fell on my floor." He groaned making some breakfast. I scrolled through my phone and noticed that we were missing a singer at the prom. Katelyn called me and I answered. "NATALIE I NEED YOU TO SING ONE SONG AT PROM YOUR CHOICE!" She screamed through the phone. "Sure, but only one." I replied calmly. "Thank goodness, I owe you coffee." She said and hung up. I laughed and started to eat the eggs and bacon Luke set in front of me. "Are you excited about prom tonight?" He asked with his mouth full. "Yes, but please don't talk while you have food in your mouth." I said grimacing at the half chewed food in his mouth. He shut his mouth closed and we finished eating and walked to school today. "I'm really gonna miss this place a lot." I said as we passed a park. "Ha I remember when you pushed me by accident and I busted my chin on the slide." He said brushing his fingers across where the stitches had once been. "Don't forget the water balloon fight we had at the pool. The life guard hated all the scraps afterward." I said laughing. "Oh and our eighth birthday where dad smashed both of our faces in the cake." I added remembering how hard it was to wash out all the frosting. We walked into school side by side and I heard running down the hall. I saw Laurance chasing after Garroth who had a cupcake in his hand. "What people do you hang out with?" Luke asked watching them disappear around the corner. "Sometimes you never know with those two." We walked to our first period which was art and Katelyn sat next to me. "I so owe you Natalie." She said. "Okay kids you know that prom is coming up and you guys are a class full of juniors and seniors. I want you to draw your dress or tux for me and turn it in by the end of class. I picked up a pencil and started drawing the dress that I had gotten with Aaron. My stomach churned at the thought of him, but I ignored and continued to draw my dress. I finished the sketch and went over it in thin, black lines to clean it up. "Wow Natalie I never realized how good you are at drawing." Katelyn said looking at my drawing. "Thanks it's always been my thing." I said not taking my focus off of the drawing. I grabbed some red colored pencils and started coloring and shading it. We still had a lot of time so I drew myself in the dress and was satisfied with my masterpiece. I took a picture on my phone and gave it to the teacher as I left the classroom. I walked into Math and noticed that Gene was in it. He walked up to me with a smirk and grabbed my hand. "I heard you and Aaron aren't a thing anymore so let me take you to prom." He said. I rolled my eyes and yanked my hand out of his grip. I felt an arm wrap around my shoulder and Gene backed away. "Was this kid bothering you Natalie?" Luke asked. "Leave it Luke." I said walking to my seat. "Touch my sister again and I'll break your hands to pieces." He threatened Gene and I smirked. We went the classes without a problem. I walked into werewolf class and sat up near the front away from where me and Aaron used to sit together. I noticed Aaron walk into the room and made a beeline straight for his seat in the back. I ignored the entire class and tried to keep myself from thinking about Aaron. I tapped my nails against the desk waiting for the end of school to come. The bell rang and I got all of my stuff and I went to my locker alone. I put my textbooks down and started to write down a note on a sticky note.

Dear whoever has the locker after me,
My name is Natalie Junakin, take care of this locker. It has a lot of memories and I'm sure you'll make some here too. Don't ever be scared to take a risk, tell someone you love them before you lose them. Make sure you tell your friends how much they mean to you and never forget to be yourself. Make sure to write a note to the next student before you graduate

This is the last time I'll see my locker so I'll see you later.

I pressed it against the back of my locker and grabbed all of my stuff and stuffed it into my bag. I grabbed a couple of Polaroid pictures of me and the girls and Laurance and Garroth. I smiled and look at a picture of Aaron with me on his shoulders. This is when we had the pool party at Cadenza's. I smiled and put it in with the others. "C'mon I want to have one last walk around town and eat some unhealthy, but good food before we leave for Colorado forever." Luke said nudging me. I nodded and grabbed all of my stuff and slung my leather jacket over my shoulder that had my pictures in it.

Aaron's POV
I listened to their conversation and my heart dropped as I heard she was moving away from me. I wanted so badly to tell her and she probably doesn't even want to see me. I turned the corner I was hiding behind and noticed pictures spread across the floor. I picked them up and noticed they were all of Natalie and the others. I stuffed them into my pocket and dialed Laurance's number. "Hey you still got that Polaroid projector?" I asked smiling.

Natalie's POV
We walked across the street to McDonald's and we ordered some food. "I wrote my sticky in my locker." I said starting to eat. "You actually listened to that old senior." Luke said. "Of course that note left me in a good place in high school, wish I could've met them though." I said. I guy a few years older with brown hair and teal eyes walked over to us and smiled. "Hey I could help, but hear about that sticky note, was it on locker 113?" He asked. I froze in shock and Luke's mouth dropped open. "You were this guy?" I asked pulling out an old sticky note. "That was me, I'm glad my little note lived on." He said. I nodded and got up and hugged him. "That note really helped me get through that hell hole." I said letting go of him. "Easy Natalie you don't even know this guy." Luke said tugging me towards him. "Calm down my boyfriend is over there." He said pointing to a guy with black hair and grey eyes. "I'm Eren and that's Levi. Call me if you need anything." He said giving me a slip of paper. I nodded and watched Eren and Levi walk out hand in hand.
