Death

This was originally more than one chapter! I've revised it and fixed everything!

The Beginning

Third POV:

"Hey Lucy!" Natsu yells as I enter the guild. He and Happy race over laughing. "I've got an awesome looking job for us! Since Gray and Erza went on solo missions they won't be joining!"

"Aye Lucy it'll be really cool!" Happy yells and Lucy laughs.

"Sure! Rents due soon anyway." Lucy says smiling like usual. "So where is it?" She asks already eager for a new adventure.

"In a forest close by to Blue Pegasus." He says and Lucy scrunches her face up. "What?"

"If it's close to Blue Pegasus then why don't they do it?" Lucy asks honestly.

"Yeah why?" Happy asks too.

"I don't know I asked Gramps and he said something about a spell that keeps them out." Natsu says and Lucy nods.

"Alright when are we leaving?" Lucy asks.

"Tomorrow morning! The usual time!" Natsu yells and runs off. Lucy laughs and leaves to prepare for the mission.

Lucy POV:

I was at the train station waiting for Natsu. He wasn't late I was just really early. I couldn't sleep much last night. I kept having the same dream sequence over and over again.

~Dream~

I was running through a forest. Trying to get out. Something was chasing me, no hunting me. I was terrified. I don't know what it was. But I got to a clearing. And saw Happy flying down with Natsu. I smile knowing Natsu would help me. Something grabbed me. I felt pain and I saw Natsu's horrified face.

Then I would wake up shaken and covered in sweat. I would wake up from it and wait a while then try to sleep again only for the dream to return. The process repeated until I gave up on sleep altogether. I've been here since dawn playing with Plue.

"Lucy!" I hear Natsu before I see him. He comes running out of a crowd, but where's Happy? "Ready to go he asks and I nod not trusting my voice at the moment. "Luce, what's wrong?" He asks worry evident on his face.

"Nothing just bad dreams." I say and he nods. I close Plue's gate after promising to play later.

"So that's why you like shit." He says.

"What the hell do you mean by that!" I yell obviously pissed. "Anyway where's Happy!" I shout still pissed.

"Happy decided to stay back cause Carla needed help with something." He says and and I smile. Awww, that's so sweet of him!

"Come on Luce we gotta go now or we'll miss the train." He says and I growl.

Natsu POV:

After we finally get off the metal death trap. We go to Blue Pegasus to find out more about the mission because it was practically blank. It said the Jewel amount, location, but nothing in the description.

"Hey Natsu?" Lucy says beside me.

"Yeah?" I say and I hear a sigh.

"I just realized you never told me anything about the mission. So what are we to do?" She asks and I smile.

"I don't know. The paper didn't say it only had the basic information, but no description." I say looking over my shoulder at Luce and she's pale well...pale-er than this morning. "Luce you feeling okay? Your kinda pale." I say and she shakes her head.
