Just A Glitch || The Flash

Chapter 1: M̢̼̱ov̹̝i͉̼̣̫̲͇e͔̯ ̳N͔̙͖͙̤i̷͈̬̯͎ͅͅg̠̠̮͈̟h͙̦̀t

It was almost Christmas time in Central City, the streets were illuminated with the seasonal colors as the snow started to fall upon the city. At the moment, Barry Allen and his team were spending their evening decorating Star Labs to get into the jolly spirit.

For once Barry was in a good place with himself in his life, he had finally come to terms with the loss of his parents and wanted to move forward in his life.

"Barry? Earth to Barry" Cisco said while waving his hand in front of Barry's face.

For the past ten minutes Barry has been dazing off, staring at the wall while he was lost in his own thoughts.

"Huh?" He asked, quickly returning his attention to Cisco "what'd I miss?"

Cisco raised a brow "you zoned out while we were talking about our Christmas plans" he replied "we're all meeting at Joes house for dinner then opening presents."

"Oh right, yeah I'll be there" Barry nodded.

Cisco nodded back as Joe and Iris walked into the room, they both shared a smile on their faces.

"Good, you won't wanna miss out on grandmas famous eggnog" Iris smiled more while leaning on Barry's shoulder.

He smiled back a bit and nodded "don't worry guys, I wouldn't miss it for the world."

"You better not or I'll bring ya in" Joe joked as Barry chuckled in reply "I will as long as The Flash isn't busy.."

Cisco took a sip of his hot cocoa as he sat down "c'mon it's almost Christmas, who would try anything on such a holly jolly time of year?" "You'd be surprised" Joe replied "besides, you've got help to speed up things if trouble does stir.. No pun intended."

Barry and Cisco both nodded in reply. It was surely a lot easier now that he had some more help on the battle field.

"Yeah and get this, I finally upgraded your suit's comm system" Cisco added.

Barry nodded "sweet, you're the man Cisco" "Tell me something I didn't already know" he smirked in reply.

As the others finished decorating the lab, Barry noticed someone was missing from the group "hey where did Harry go?"

Caitlin walked over as she sat down next to Cisco "oh he went back to Earth two to visit his daughter for a bit, he should be back by tonight" she explained.

"Oh, will he be joining us for Christmas dinner?" "We don't know yet, he and Jessie might be celebrating back home" Caitlin shrugged "we'll just have to see what he decides on."

The others nodded, hoping they'd choose to celebrate it here on Earth one with them but they'd just have to wait and see.

Later that night as the team gathered to watch some Christmas movies as Cisco demanded. He always had a habit of forcing his friends to watch them, it was tradition at this point.

"So what movie's first? Home Alone? Nightmare Before Christmas? Elf?" He asked as the walked in the room with a bowl of popcorn in both hands.

"Oh! Elf!" Iris quickly answered "It was always my favorite growing up!"

"Mine too" Barry added, smiling at her.

"Ok so far we have two voted for Elf, anyone else care to join in?"

Caitlin shrugged and so did Joe.

"Ok, Elf it is" Cisco nodded before playing the movie.

As they started to watch, a blaring alarm started to sound from the computers around them. Cisco quickly jumped up and ran over to the computer, spilling some popcorn in the process "There's a robbery in progress at the Central City Federal Bank! Cameras seem to be offline."

"I'm on it!" Barry nodded before quickly running out with his suit before Cisco could say anymore.

Cisco quickly turned on the comms "Barry wait! We don't have a game plan yet!"

"I don't need one, it's just a robbery I'll have it taken care of in a-"

"You better not say flash" "I wasn't.." Barry replied quickly.

"Whatever you say, just be careful.."

"Always am."
