"Hurry" Mardon whispered as he watched the soldiers talk on the opposite side of the room.

Trying her best, Audrey gripped the cuffs on her wrists as she closed her eyes, trying to concentrate.

Audrey closed her eyes as she attempted to use her powers on the cuffs while Mardon kept a watch out. It was beginning to become difficult to keep her focus as she continued to try.

A minute or so passed before the cuffs on both Mardon's and her wrists began to blink. It was starting to work.

Mardon glanced at her, noticing the toll it was beginning to take on her. Fighting to use her powers while the cuffs dampened it, it couldn't have been easy.

The red light in the cuffs suddenly began to blink before turning green, unlocking after a slight delay.

It worked.

Mardon's eyes widebed a bit as he saw, a smirk quickly appeared on his face "Time to have some fun.."

Audrey glanced at the soldiers before returning her attention to Mardon, he looked like he had a plan.

That couldn't be good.

"Can you cut the power?" He asked in a whisper as Audrey gave him a quick nod "Good, cut the power and don't bring it back until I tell you to, ok?"

"Ok" She muttered in reply.

Mardon nodded "Stay behind me."

Audrey watched as Mardon stood up, turning to the guards. She stood up as well, staying close behind Mardon, waiting for the right moment.

After a few seconds passed, the soldiers quickly realized they both got out of their cuffs, drawing their guns.

"Now.." Mardon muttered as the soldiers put their fingers on the triggers.

Audrey nodded slightly before turning her attention to the lights above them as her eyes filled with black.

Suddenly the room went pitch black as she caused a blackout. The soldiers quickly fired off rounds in the dark, hoping to either hit Audrey or Mardon but none of the bullets hit anything.

Mardon stood in a different corner of the room with Audrey with a smirk plastered on his face, listening to the soldiers attempt to shoot at them. He waited a few seconds until they ran out of bullets to make his move.

That didn't take too long.

"Find them!" The leader yelled as the soldiers turned on their flashlights, something Mardon didn't anticipate.

As the soldiers looked around the room, pointing their flashlights around to help them see, Audrey quickly used her powers to short them out before they could find them.

That gave Mardon his chance to make his move.

He smirked once again, creating a large mass or hail in both hands "We're right here!"

The soldiers quickly turned their attentions to his dude of the room, reloading and ready to fire but Mardon shot them with hail before they could even pull the trigger

The soldiers quickly turned their attentions to his dude of the room, reloading and ready to fire but Mardon shot them with hail before they could even pull the trigger.

Audrey quickly backed away against the wall as she heard the screams of the soldiers as they got attacked by Mardon's hail. The sounds were loud and echoed as Mardon continued to attack the soldiers blindly in the dark.

She didn't know when it would end, the soldiers continued their best to get up and attack Mardon but after a few minutes passed, the sounds stopped.

"You can turn on the lights now" Mardon spoke as the room became silent.

Audrey was hesitant at first, nervous to see what he had done, or what if more soldiers came.

"It's ok" He reassured her.

Doing as he said, Audrey restored the power to the building, jumping slightly as Mardon stood in front of her. He quickly pulled her close to him, shielding her from seeing what he had done.

"Just- Don't look" He told her quietly.

She didn't think twice about listening to him this time. Audrey didn't want to risk seeing whatever Mardon did.

"It's safe now" Mardon reassured "You ok?"

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine" Audrey replied sounding a bit quiet as Mardon let her go "Good, stay here while I get Snart" He replied.

Audrey gave him a small nod as he turned her around before walking out so she wouldn't see the bodies of the soldiers. He didn't want her to be exposed to something like that.

After Mardon walked out of the room, everything went back to silent. The thought of running out and escaping came to Audrey's mind, it would be the perfect opportunity but something inside her was stopping her from doing it.

A minute passed before Mardon returned with Snart and Mick, uncuffed and roughed up a bit.

Audrey kept her back turned to the door, hearing their footsteps approach but she hesitated to turn around.

As the footsteps approached more, a hand grabbed her shoulder gently, turning her around. She hesitated to look but did it anyways, quickly realizing it was Snart.

He looked at her, seeing she was still shaken up a bit "Are you alright?"

Audrey nodded hesitantly but he could see right through that.

"Mick, why don't you take care of the trash" Snart said to Mick, referring to the three bodies on the floor.

Mick gave him a nod as he grabbed two of the bodies by the arms while Mardon grabbed the other, helping him drag them out.

Snart turned his attention back to Audrey, she flinched a bit at his movements, he could tell she was still feeling effected from the incident.

"Come here-" He pulled her close into a embracive hug, he wasn't sure how she would react but Snart felt it would comfort her.

Oddly enough, she didn't fight it or hesitate. Snart didn't seem like the kind of person to have a soft side but it suited him.

"Who was those people?" She asked quietly.

He looked down at her "They were after you and Mardon, I'm assuming they were after you two because you're both Metahumans" Snart replied.

"But how did they find us here?"

Snart shook his head, not quite knowing the answer to that.

"I don't know.."
