"Look what our kids could have, Charlotte,"

The voice rang in Charlotte's ears after awakening. Her hair draped over her husband, snoring as usual. Charlotte  blinked her eyes, grogginess taking over her vision.

King George smiled at his asleep lover. The King's hand caressed over her smooth skin. "Charlotte," he breathed. "I love you." A smile spread on her face, relaxing George for a few. The war was tiring and exhausting, it usually left George stressed. He could relax with Charlotte.

Charlotte laughed in the pale sunlight. George poked her nose, rushing away from his vengeful lover. "George," she said. "I will get you-"

She was cut off by her husband flipping her onto the bed. "I win," he smiled. Charlotte was laughing and smiling. George let her up. The two chuckled as the sun rose, glinting off the giant stained glass windows of the palace.

About three hours later, George and Charlotte were startled by a messenger barging in. "Your majesty!" barked the messenger. "The colonists, they've thrown the tea into the harbor. They're rebelling!" George hopped up, growling.

"Get the forces. Send them to Boston Harbor," the messenger nodded. "Char, please get my cloak and staff." Charlotte pulled her husband's cloak and staff from the closet. She put the cloak on over his clothes, then delivered the staff.

"Hey, love," Charlotte said. "Be careful." George kissed her and raced out to the throne room. Little did either know, after the war, George would go mad- and ruin everything he and Charlotte once had.
