Winter 1776; from General George Washington
Dear kind sir.
I know you aren't fond of Patriots such as I or my army, but we come in search of troops for our cause. You see, we lost thousands back a week ago and need more. I'm afraid this colony will perish if the loyalists get power. You may support them, but taxes, they're not cool. Be wise,G.Wash
The eyes of the lots list scanned the paper. Once more he looked over. General Washington knew he was a loyalist, so why continuously contact? They must've been desperate. He sighed.
George paced the camp, pine needles sprinkled around the ground. Beside him, was Lieutenant Hamilton and Lt. Colonel Laurens. "Alexander," George paused. "Please go draft a letter to Mr. John Adams." The ginger scribe rushed off. "Mr. Laurens," George referred to John. "Gather the troops. We heard spy reports that the loyalists found our camp. In /our/ forest."
TIMESKIP
Silently, as one, the Continental Army moved. George was on his noble white steed, everyone else on foot. One gun shot rang out. British. The army snuck up slowly. A huge infantry, of close to fifteen thousand men, sat in the camp. It took all of the army's shock to not gasp.
They move slowly. They're a gang of snakes, slinking quietly. The army won't see them. I hope you know the trouble I can get in for doing this- if you don't, well.. problem? If you get this before the sunset of November eleventh meet me December twenty-first under the pine trees. Rebel's will meet me here. Bring army. Ambush. Gotta go- one is coming,
Alexander froze. Boots crunching freshly fallen snow confused him. It was only he, Lafayette, George, and Laurens. Washington's General, Benjamin Tallmadge tagged along. They were meeting a spy. However, no spy was there.
In the dark pines, the huge army lurked. One by one they leapt at the five men. Lafayette pulled his sword out, skewering men. Alexander stood beside George, helping him. Upon this, Benjamin fled the small two miles to the camp for reinforcements.
b a n g.The blonde male fell. Alexander stepped forward, devastated. "No.." the army had arrived. Too late for them.
Under the pine trees. The pine trees. Pines. Trees.
