Kaylie's POV

My phone buzzed as I was walking towards the small cafe in my town. I reached into my back pocket as I fiddled with my headphones which were currently blasting music through my ears. I quickly typed in my password as Calum's name appeared on the screen.

Calum my best friend of 7 years. Yeah you make think aw best friends turned into lovers and all that other bullshit, but as much as I love Calum we'd never date. Like ever. It would be too weird.

"I need your help. Come over ASAP"

I brushed it off thinking it was Calum needing "girl troubles" again.

He never stayed with one girl and was always unsure of himself.

My phone buzzed once again.

"KAYLIE"

"I NEED YOU"

My lips curled at the sight his pleading, he sounded like teenage girl. I then quickly typed on my phone

"Be there soon"

I would head over there after I have had my coffee. Coffee was a essential and no one not even Calum would get in the way of it.

I entered the small shop and greeted Lindsey, the girl who usually worked behind the counter.

"Hey Kaylie," she greeted me. Aw she was cute.

"Hi Lindsey how are you today?" I made small talk deciding on what to order.

This coffee shop had the best coffee in town. It was small and cute and I came here every morning. It smelled with caramel and had a certain vibe that I couldn't get enough of.

Once I received my coffee I made my way to Calum's house.

"Cal," I yelled as I walked through the old wood door.

No answer. I made my way up to his room walking between the pictures of him and family.

We've been through this a million times.

I knocked on his door and slowly opened it letting it creek open.

"Kaylie?" He questioned

"Hey," I said as I took a sip of my coffee and put it down on his desk in the corner of the room.

"I messed up," he said quietly while sitting on his bed.

"Aw Cal, don't worry there are other fishes in the sea," I walked closer to him as I started my little monologue, "Jessa is only one girl-"

But I suddenly got interrupted by Calum's soft voice,

"This isn't about Jessa, Kay. This is about Michael."

Michael? Michael, one of Calum's best friends? Michael Clifford who I despise? Michael Clifford who I haven't spoken to since 8th grade.

"Michael Clifford?" I asked.

He nodded with hesitance. He knows I do not like Michael Clifford what so ever.

"Why are you talking to me about Michael Clifford?" I asked annoyed.

Michael was an asshole. An arrogant, self centered, cocky, asshole.

"Because I need your help really badly!" the brown eyed boy exclaimed louder than I expected.

"What did you even do?!"

"Imayhaveormaynothavesenthimnotessayingitwasfromagirlandtellinghimthatilikedhimalot," Calum mumbled.

"Pardon?" I asked trying to grasp whatever words just came out of his mouth.

"I SENT HIM NOTES AND SHIT TELLING HIM THAT I WAS A GIRL AND THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN HIM GOD DAMMIT," Calum suddenly yelled and put his head in his hands.
