Chapter five

The feeling of movement under my head made me groan as I tossed around on the small area I laid upon, the movement stopped making me sigh peacefully before feeling someone touch my waist pushing me slightly "Lola" a groggy voice mumbled quietly as I slowly opened my eyes my vision fixated on the plaid button down that laid upon the body I was laying on as I ran my eyes up to the person's face I seen Chaz yawning and rubbing his face with his hand "Chaz?" I ask yawning now myself as I lift myself up from his lap and sit properly next to him "what time is it?" I ask looking around the room seeing we were in his living room and he got up quickly "let me check" he says rushing off to wherever while I sat there confused as to why I was here but then I remembered as I looked to the small stack of horror movies that rested on the coffee table and I smiled, we had a movie night, I look back to Chaz as he walks from behind the wall leading to the hallway running hand across his blonde hair "it's 7:45 in the morning, I think we should get you back home" he states with a soft chuckle and I nod agreeing with him "he's gonna kill me" I laugh rubbing my forehead as he sits in front of me "Didn't he think you were at a party?" He asks me and I nod looking up at him "yeah but I should've came home before daylight hit, he'll just give me a lecture" I say jumping at the pounding knock on the door and I instantly think it's my dad as Chaz stands to go answer it I sit on the other side of the couch to get a better view of who it might be as Chaz answers it Mike walks in and I breathe out in relief as he looks over at me "hey what're you doing here? Shouldn't you have left a long time ago?" He asks a sly smile on his face "she fell asleep during a movie and I couldn't bring myself to wake her" Chaz explains and I roll my eyes with a slight smile "I seen her dad leave this morning on my way here he seemed worried" he explained to us both and I cover my face "seriously? I'm the worst" I say throwing myself against the couch trying not to have a complete panic attack about the whole ordeal. I feel someone touch me as I look from behind my hands and I see Chaz with a worried look standing over me "I'll drive you to where he works and you can explain to him" he tells me and I nod standing to my feet as I look to Mike he still stood by the door as he opened it "let's go!" He shouted excitedly jumping out the door and Chaz and I followed him out seeing him getting in the front seat of Chaz's car as we both rolled our eyes and got in as well, I leaned against the driver seat and the passenger seat looking at them both as Chaz drove down the road "so where does he work?" He asked me as we reach into town and I instruct him where to go soon reaching his workplace and I quickly get out of the car once it comes to a stop and run inside seeing my dad talking to someone as he looks at me "one moment please, just take a seat in the waiting room" he tells the man and he just nods walking off while my dad pulls me to the back of the building into his office "where the hell were you Lola? I was worried to damn death about you" He asks me he rarely ever used the words 'hell' or 'damn' and close to never cursed unless he was extremely fumed up, I swallow away the lump as I take a deep breath "I hung out with Chaz and Mike last night and I was having fun and didn't want the night to end so I figured since you said I could go to a party instead of doing that I had a movie night with Chaz and ended up falling asleep" I explained to him the whole situation and he pinched the bridge of his nose "you could have came home and told me where you'd be I was worried sick about you all night and I didn't know who the hell to call" he explained to me again getting frustrated with me at this point and I sigh "I know dad I'm sorry I should've done that but I didn't it will never happen again I promise you" I tell him as he sighs putting his hands on his hips and looked down at the floor "I believe you darlin' just if you're planning on being gone longer than said or going somewhere come back home and tell me first AND call me from wherever you decide to go and be at" he says to me giving me a slight lecture and I smile nodding my head "I will dad" I say and hug him hearing him sigh again "now go and do whatever I have to work" he says waving me off as he smiles and we both leave his office and rush back to Chaz and Mike seeing them joking around by his car "how'd it go?" Mike asked me swatting away Chaz's hands making me smile and roll my eyes "it went fine he was a little upset at first but understood" I explained the situation to them and they both nod "so he didn't ground you?" Mike mocked as we got into the car "I'm 18 he can't ground me" I laugh rolling my eyes and Mike snickers "but he can control where you go" he mumbles as Chaz hits him "knock it off dude" Chaz says to him and mike crossed his arms like a mad child and I giggle "thanks Chazzy" I say to him without realizing what I had called him as he laughs "Chazzy huh? I like that" he says looking back to me as he drives off away from the auto shop.

As I grab the trey that held all of our food off the counter top Chaz and Mike rushed over to the soda machine to grab our sodas and I went to find a good seat setting the tray on the table and sitting down at it watching them walk over to me as they set our drinks down and sat as well, "today feels kinda boring" I mumble sticking a fry in my mouth "it does" Chaz mumbles as well through a mouth full of cheeseburger as mike sighs "we can go back to my place and have kick ass 3 person party loaded with video games and liquor" mike suggested raising his eyebrows as he got an excited look on his face but Chaz shot him down by shaking his head "or we can find something way cooler like a concert or some shit there's loads of little bands playing around" he says moving his fingers around as he said 'little bands' making me giggle "I prefer that idea Mike sorry" I say with a smile as he rolls his eyes "yeah whatever dumb concert it is then" he said annoyed tossing a fry into his mouth as he looked off out the window. By the time we were finished eating and we had literally sat and talked for hours it was already pitch black outside and most likely time for a concert to start, I tossed our trash in the bin and returned the tray to its rightful place meeting Chaz and mike outside in front of Chaz's car "need me to drive you home to talk to your dad?" He asked I couldn't tell if he was mocking me or not so I just rolled my eyes "I just need to change don't really feel like going to a concert dressed like this" I said mocking my loser of an outfit and Chaz just rolled his eyes and playfully hit my arm "what you're wearing is fine it looks good" he said with a smile as mike groaned "can you stop flirting with her man? If she wants to change let's drop her off so she can jeez" mike complained sounding a bit frustrated "don't piss on the night just because we're not going to get drunk at your house dude" Chaz argued back making me sigh "after the concert we can have that 3 people party, okay Mike?" I tell him trying to lighten to mood a little as he groaned nodding his head "still gotta go to a dumb concert though" he mumbled crossing his arms as he got in the car and so did Chaz and I. As we began to reach my house I noticed my dad wasn't home and I thanked the lord above as Chaz parked the car "you two can come in if you want it might be a minute" I say to them as I opened the door to get out and Chaz turned off his car "your daddy won't mind Lola?" Mike asked sarcastically and I shook my head "never say that again" I say rushing inside seeing a note on the countertop 'Lola - I'm gonna be gone all night tonight, date with someone I met at work today. You can hangout with whomever, you know the rules! Love you dear' I smile rolling my eyes "what's that?" I hear Chaz ask making me look to see him standing behind me his hands in his pockets "my dad went on a date tonight so I can be gone as long as I want" I say tossing the note back on the countertop "I'll be out in a moment" I say rushing to my room and stripping from my clothes while I look for new ones "your house is adorable" I hear mike say just outside my room and I roll my eyes checking to make sure the door was closed as I pick out some clothes and put them on. I walk out my room and to the living room where I see Chaz and Mike arguing about what concert to go to "we're seeing Jason fresteid tonight dude since you two are dragging me to this dumb crap" Mike argued to Chaz as they both looked at me "it's two against one man I know Lola is gonna want to see killer kings" Chaz argued and I laughed shrugging my shoulders "what's Jason's music like?" I ask mike as mike gets a smug smile on his face "a really cool ass upcoming ra-" before mike could finish I shook my head "killer kings, sorry mike" I say with a guilty face as mike just rolls his eyes "wow you suck" mike says and we all walk outside back to the car "this is gonna be awesome mike you'll see" I say to him patting his shoulder and he scruffs "I'm gonna be too drunk to care" he mumbles and I playfully smack his shoulder "we're all probably gonna be too drunk to care pal" Chaz says patting Mike's leg as mike moves his leg away from Chaz "not me, I'm never drinking again" I say to them both as I lean back in the seat as they both chuckle "we've all said that before" Chaz says looking back to me as I glared at him with a smile.
