Chapter nine

*warning: alcohol use, slight drug use*

It's been a week since I had the fight with my dad and I had been staying with Chaz ever since, it's been nice since it's just us because his parents are out of town so there's no one to have question why I'm there or tell me to go back to my dad plus my dad has made no effort in trying to find me or bring me back home anyways so I was happy. "Lola are you even listening?" I hear Anna ask snapping my out of my daze as I look to her nodding my head even though I had no idea what she had just said "what did I just say then?" She asked crossing her arms and I smile guilty as I shrug my shoulders causing her to roll her eyes "unbelievable, I was talking about that there's a concert slash underground 'secret' party going on tonight and if you want to go" she repeated the words I didn't hear and I shrugged nodding my head "yeah I don't mind, can I bring Chaz and Mike?" I ask her as she nods instantly "I was just about to ask if you could bring Mike" she asks and I raise an eyebrow as I smile "you like mike?" I ask as she nods biting her lip "maybe" she says and I giggle shaking my head "you guys would be cute" I say and she hits me rolling her eyes "shut up" she laughs flicking her cigarette from her petite fingers and I smile looking to Chaz as he walks towards us "hey Lola you ready to go?" Chaz asks as he twirled his keys on his finger "yeah but I want to ask you if you wanted to go to this party tonight" I ask him as we walk away from Anna and the others going to his car where I see Mike waiting as he was leaned up against the car "should you go to another party Lola? I mean the last one didn't go over so well" he asks stopping me getting me to look at him as he placed his hands on my arms "Chaz I'll be fine I'll stay next to you okay" I tell him as he closes his eyes and sighs "I just don't want anything to happen to you" he says and I smile hugging him tightly "I'm not gonna do what I did last time Chazzy I promise you" I say cupping his face and squishing his cheeks together as he laughed and we pulled apart walking again to his car, as soon as we got there Mike scooped me up in his arms "Mike I swear if you tickle me" I say as he pulls me into the backseat of the car yet again and chuckled devilishly before starting to tickle me again "Mike come on man stop torturing the poor girl" Chaz says as he pulls out of the parking lot of the mall and Mike ignores him still tickling me like crazy but I manage to get out of his grip and quickly climb to the front of the car looking back at Mike as he crosses his arms "you're such a baby Lola" he says leaning between our seats as he looks at me "it hurts to laugh that hard Mikey" I say patting my stomach as he rolls his eyes "whatever, hey Chaz we doing anything fun tonight?" Mike asks nudging Chaz as he looks at him "actually yeah, Lola invited us to yet another party" Chaz says looking to me making me roll my eyes "miss popular over here, I can go definitely" he says with a smile nudging me now as I smile "I remember when we first met you, you were so damn shy and could barely talk to us" Chaz said turning into the drive-thru of McDonald's "and now you're getting party invites and shit" mike says slouching against the back seat and I shake my head "thanks to you guys helping me come out of my crappy shell" I say to them before being shushed by Chaz as he orders our food. I walk with Chaz and Mike as we go inside Chaz's house I carried my bag of food and drink whilst they carried theirs as we walked to his bedroom I instantly climbed onto his bed fixing the blanket so I was sitting on top of it so I wouldn't get his sheets dirty "when's the party exactly?" Mike asks as he shoveled fries into his mouth looking to me "I think 7" I mumble tossing a fry into my mouth as he nods turning his head back  on the tv and I watched as they started to play their dumb video game.

I walked through my house trying my hardest to be as quiet as possible whilst I retrieved my outfit for the party, I knew my dad was home but he was more than likely asleep since he wasn't anywhere in the living room or kitchen plus it was now 8 pm and he was usually asleep by then, I rummaged through my closet to find the dress I wanted stopping as soon as I heard foot steps leading to my bedroom door "Lola? Is that you?" I heard my dad's voice as I quickly grabbed my dress going to run towards my bathroom to hide but it was too late as he walked through the doorway his eyes falling right on me as they widened "I'm not staying I just came to grab some clothes" I said to him realizing I was stuck here to talk with him and he sighed "you are my daughter and you're not going anywhere okay? I'm sorry for taking her side instead of yours I just didn't see anything wrong in what she said" he explains to me reaching for my arm but I pull away as I go to walk out he grabs me by my arm stopping me "let me go dad I have somewhere to be" I tell him looking at his eyes "Lola please just listen to me" he says as I manage to get out of his grip and walk away from him only to hear him following me "where are you going? This is your home Lola" he tells me and I laugh rolling my eyes "I'm going to Chaz's and that's where I'm staying until I can actually move out" I explain to him as he furrows his eyebrows giving a concerned and frustrated look as he closed his eyes "Lola you're not staying with that boy you barely know him! You're coming back home and that's final" he says to me his voice getting louder and I shake my head opening the front door but he closes it again "I know him more than I feel like I know you right now dad, just let me leave" I say to him trying to push past him but he doesn't budge "Lola stop it and go to your room" he orders me making me laugh again pushing him away finally able to get him to actually move and I quickly run out the door into Chaz's car as he looks at me "what the hell?" He asks giving me a confused look and I see my dad rushing out and I nudge Chaz making him look as well "will you fucking go" I shout to him as he quickly puts his car into gear pulling out of the driveway before my dad could get to us and driving off away from my house back to his.
