Chapter eight

"Let me go!" I shout out trying to get out of Mike's grip as he lifted me up from behind, he had a tendency to keep doing that, "not until you agree to go to the concert with us" he says with a laugh and I groan pulling at his hands to try and get from him "I told you I can't my dad wants me to meet his girlfriend" I say just giving up at this point as I relax in his arms sighing then looking to Chaz as he walks back to us from the little skate area within the park, I guess he had to talk to one of the guys there, he smiled shaking his head "dude we can't force her to ditch her dad maybe we can hang out after" he says convincing mike to let me go "I don't get why you can't meet her some other time tell your dad you made plans" he says as he slouches against the tree we all sat under and I sigh shaking my head "I can't Mikey I promise we can all hang out after I'm done with dinner and by then the show should be over right?" I say looking to the both of them as they nodded "I think you'll be done a little before us hopefully you don't get too bored" Chaz said patting my leg making me roll my eyes "I'll try not to" I say sarcastically patting him back as he laughed and I hopped up onto my feet putting my hands in my jacket pockets "I think it's time we get back to our homes it's starting to get dark which tells me I have to get back home to meet this girl and you two have to get ready for your dumb concert" I say with a smile to let them know I was joking as Mike stands up before helping Chaz "hey limp bizkit is not a dumb concert okay" Mike says pointing to me as I roll my eyes giggle softly "I know Mikey" I say patting him as he groaned grabbing me again starting to walk to the car "you seriously need to stop thinking you can do that just because you're able to" I say grabbing at his hands as they gripped onto my shirt and just so happened to be touching my ticklish spot which made me giggle "it's just so easy you're tiny" he says with a laugh setting me down and I darted for the backseat of the car hoping to get away from him since I knew he knew about my ticklish spot only to be trapped in the backseat as he got in beside me an evil smirk on his face and I looked to Chaz as he looked back at us "help" I whined going to crawl into the front seat but Mike grabbed my hips yanking me back onto him as he began to tickle me and I wanted to kill as his fingers poked into my tummy making me laugh hysterically as I heard Chaz start to laugh I groaned squirming around in Mike's arms "please stop it hurts" I laugh like crazy pushing at his hands finally him letting go and I quickly crawled into the front seat breathing heavily from laughing so hard "you are no help at all" I say punching Chaz in the arm gently as he rubs it his nose scrunched up chuckling softly "ow I'm sorry it's just so funny" he says looking to me as he drove up to my house "you suck" I say opening the door as he parks his car and I get out "because of that I'm not going out with you guys" I say jokingly as Chaz holds his chest sarcastically "that's a tragedy" he says with a smile and I shake my head closing his door as I walk to my front door looking back to him seeing mike climb in the front "I'll pick you up 12" he says after rolling down his window and I nod giving him a thumbs up "awesome!" I shout back watching him drive out of my drive way before driving away and I walk in seeing my dad dressed nice setting up the table and I smile "hey dad" I say getting him to look at me and he hugs me "you came just in time she's actually already here she's just freshening up" he says going back to setting the table and I nod sitting down in my chair "oh my goodness you must Lola! I'm Francine you can call me Fran if you want" Francine says her voice high pitched as she stands in front of me holding her hand out "hi" I say softly looking st her hand I was starting to get extreme anxiety as she sat beside me she was a new person a new person that I was gonna be forced to get to know since she is my dad's girlfriend and she is extremely outgoing and type thing made me worse "she's got social anxiety I'm sorry I should've told you" my dad says making me sigh as I turn back to the table "oh I'm sure she's just shy you'll get used to me" she says making me roll my eyes "Lola" my dad mumbles giving me a 'look' and I sigh, this is gonna suck. As the night goes on I can safely say I hated his girlfriend everything about her just made me feel uncomfortable especially the way she talked about me and my anxiety telling me that I just need to grow up and be an adult she said in a 'nice' way which fooled my dad, I watched as he kissed her goodbye and closed the door I sighed "I don't know about her dad" I say crossing my arms as he sighed "she's a sweet woman Lola you just have to give her chance" he said putting a hand on my shoulder but I shrugged it off "she told me I need to grow up basically telling me to get over it" I say as he shakes his head "she didn't mean it like that" he says and I huff rolling my eyes "are you being serious right now dad? You're sticking up for her after she told me to get over how I was feeling?" I say starting to get annoyed "Lola I'm not sticking up for her I'm simply saying I know she didn't mean it like how she said it" he says still sticking up for her "mom understood" I say and that obviously hit a nerve as he looked at me frustrated "that's enough Lola go to your room" he says making me laugh as I shook my head "no dad I'm 18 you can't tell me what to do" I say watching him clean up "you're under my roof and you're gonna do as I say" he says turning to me and I roll my eyes "mom would agree with me that that woman is a complete bitch" I say annoyed and he grabs my arm making me look at me "your mom left me alone to care for you your mom was the bitch" he said that was the first time I ever heard him say that word and I pushed off me "fuck you dad mom left because she couldn't stand to be around you and your shitty fucking buddies who always got fucking high all the time you were too fucking drunk to even care they were smoking around your kid" I yelled at him as he grabbed me again dragging me to my room "Lola you better stop right now" he says and I get out of his grip and rush to the door "Lola don't you dare leave" he says as I see him rush after me and I quickly run out the door hearing him yell my name but I ignore him running as far away from him as possible, we never fought like this ever I didn't like it but I hated how chose a new dumb bimbo over me his own damn child. I sighed stopping in front of Chaz's place which was a few blocks away from me as I sat on his steps tears began to sting at my eyes as I thought about what had just happened feeling my phone buzz in my pocket I take it out flipping it open to see a missed call from Chaz, he must have called while I was fighting with my dad, I decide to call him back hearing his voice made me smile "hey Lola we're on our way to your house the concert was a bust mike got in a fight" "let me talk to her!" I hear mike say as Chaz finished his sentence "I'm actually at your place already I'll talk about it when you get here" I say as I hear them bicker making me smile "oh okay I'm right down the road then" he says and I nod "I'll see you soon" I say and we say our goodbyes and within 3 minutes I see his headlights and I stand up watching him pull in they both got out the car "how'd you manage to get in a fight mike?" I ask as I look at his split lip and black eye as he shrugged "some drunk idiot wanted to start shit" he says as we follow Chaz inside "I bet the other guy looks worse" I say jokingly as mike nods "he does" he says with a laugh and I shake my head following Chaz into his room noticing him tossing a bag on the bed "what's that?" I ask digging through the bag seeing hair dye and I smile like an idiot "I was hoping you could help us dye our hair" he says stripping from his jacket and t-shirt still wearing his white tank top and I nod my head excited "definitely! Who's doing what color?" I ask folding my hands together trying not to jump up and down with excitement "I'm redying my hair red and Chaz is going to red" mike steps in taking the box of brown hair dye and I nod grabbing Chaz's hair dye and skipping over to him throwing my arms around him "this is gonna be so fun" I said excited I always wanted to do shit like this but didn't have friends that were willing to even bleach their hair "now are you gonna tell us what happened?" Chaz asked as he sat on the chair front of me as I squeezed the dye onto my gloved hand before rubbing it into his hair "my dad and I got in a fight because of his new girlfriend, I was having severe anxiety from meeting her I didn't really know why I guess I just had a bad feeling about her and she told me I needed to grow up and be an adult to stop worrying about such small things" I explain to them as mike looks to me annoyed "basically saying get over it" Chaz said and I nodded "pretty much" I say as I massage more dye into his hair before tossing the gloves in the trash and cleaning the dye from his neck "we got in a huge fight over it and I don't even know if I wanna go back" I say sitting down on the bed looking up at them both as they cleaned their foreheads "you can stay with me for awhile, my parents are out of town for a couple weeks" Chaz offered and I smiled looking down at the ground "I'd offer my place but unfortunately my family are home, constantly" mike says annoyed plopping down beside me "it's fine Mikey, and thanks chazzy but I have no idea where I'd sleep I'll probably just stay with Anna" I say as Chaz sighs "you can sleep in my room I'll sleep in my parents room" he offers making me shake my head "it's fine Chaz really" I say looking to him and I hear mike sigh "you two can sleep in the same room in the same bed you two have done it before" mike says standing from the bed and I look to him "I don't want to make her uncomfortable man" Chaz says as I look to the floor "you two have slept in the same bed together before what's so different about it now?" He asks and I could feel Chaz look at me before I heard him sigh "did something happen between you two?" Mike asks and my eyes widen as I giggle "god no, she just-" he stopped talking looking to me as I nod my head "I just don't want to make her uncomfortable because of-" mike cut him off shaking his head "because of what?" He asked and I sigh falling back into the bed covering my face with embarrassment "she had sex the other night at that party" Chaz finished and I hear mike chuckle lightly before going silent "you had sex?! Why would it make you uncomfortable to sleep with us?" He asks and I shrug "I don't know my mind is weird Mike it just makes me nervous" I explain to him looking Chaz as he looks to me "it's not like you haven't had sex before so why-" Chaz cut off by hitting him and mike looked at me surprised before covering his mouth as he started to laugh "you've never had sex?! You're 18 and you didn't have sex" mike says and Chaz hits him again "dude stop being an asshole" Chaz said making me sigh as I sit up properly "I was wanting to wait but I got drunk like an idiot and it just happened" I explain as mike sits beside me and Chaz stands "I'm sorry Lola, it's just I mean it's just sex it didn't mean anything" he says obviously trying to make me feel better and I sigh watching Chaz check his hair "it's not just sex to me though Mike I was wanting to wait" I say looking down at the ground then back to Chaz as he looked at me "in my opinion since you were obviously not truly ready it didn't mean anything so I mean you're still a-" he goes to say but stops looking down at the ground too as I giggle "a virgin? It don't work that way Chaz, hopefully when I meet that someone they won't mind" I say look at both of them as they nod "well there's no need for you to feel uncomfortable around us cause we're not gonna try and have sex with you, or at least I'm not" Mike says nudging Chaz as Chaz pushes him "I'm not going to either dude what the fuck" Chaz says making me smile and shake my head.

"You guy's ready for the reveal?" Chaz asked holding the towel over his head and I sigh bouncing on his bed excited "just show us!" I shout patting the bed as he removes the towel showing off his bright red hair and I smile crawling to him as I stand on my knees running my fingers through his wet hair "it looks amazing!" I say looking to him as he smiled feeling his hair as well "I really like it" he says turning to look at himself "me too it's super cool" I say sitting back in my spot in the bed and mike sighs making me look to him "I gotta go guys, my dad is asking where I am. I'll talk to you tomorrow Lola hopefully you can work it out with your dad" he says standing from the bed and I nod "thanks Mike, have a good night" I tell him standing on my knees again as I give him a hug "you too, see ya Chaz, your hair is pretty cool dude" he says before going to the door waving to Chaz as Chaz waved back "thanks man, see ya" Chaz says and mike leaves the bedroom as I hear the front door shut shortly after and Chaz looks to me "you want me to sleep on the couch?" He asks tossing the towel in his laundry basket and I shake my head "Chaz you should sleep in your own bed I don't mind" I say to him as I watch him take off his glasses "I can't let you just sleep on the couch Lola" he says and I shake my head with a slight smile "who said I was sleeping on the couch?" I say curling up in the blankets looking to him as he stands on the other side of his bed "it's not gonna make you uncomfortable or whatever?" He asks, why is he so worried about if I'm uncomfortable or not? There's no way he's this damn sweet,  I shake my head patting the side he stood against "Chaz come on, I know you're not a sleaze bag like that guy I mean you're my friend I know you wouldn't do anything like that" I explain to him watching him nod as he got in the bed turning to face me as I laid in my side and I smiled at him "tonight was pretty fucking awesome except for what happened with your dad and mike getting into a fight" he goes on making me giggle nodding my head "yeah it was pretty cool once you two came around, I'm glad you had fun at the concert Chazzy" I tell him and he rolls his eyes playfully "thanks I wish you could've went" he says and I nod looking down at the bed "maybe next time, hey then you can dye my hair" I say nudging him softly as he nods "we can be matching" he says running his fingers through his hair and I giggle nodding as yawned getting sleepier as time went on and I think Chaz noticed as he sighed turning off the lamp on his nightstand "let's get to sleep" he says and I nod watching as he turns to lay on his back putting an arm behind his head and the other laid across his stomach but it didn't stay long as I scooted closer to him laying my head on and wrapping my arm around his waist, hugging up to something helped me to relax and go to sleep, I felt him put his arm back down wrapping it around my back as I smiled "good night Lola" I hear him say his voice sounding a bit groggy and sleepy as I nodded relaxing against him "good night Chazzy" I mumble before falling asleep to his soft snores.
