I didn't really realize it until now, but I had stopped cutting. Ever since Ashton came into my life, he was always there with me, and I just never felt down anymore. I had contemplated on cutting when I first moved to Australia, but decided I wouldn't. I had been clean for a whole year now. And here he was again, my cure, standing in front of me. "Ashton! What are you doing here?" I asked, excitedly hugging him.

When I finished hugging him, a girl walked up from behind Ashton. "Hey baby." she said before connecting her lips to his.

What? Who is this? What is she doing? Ashton has a girlfriend? But... he can't...

"Oh." I said quietly, walking away.

"Wait." Ashton said.

I looked back at him, and he had a look of apology and desperation in his eyes. But then he looked down, and his girlfriend clung to his side. I decided that I would head back to the dorm with my crazy roommate.

-

When I arrived, a totally new person was in the room. "Uhm? Hi? What happened to the girl here before you?" I asked the new girl.

"Oh, they found drugs in her room, so they expelled her." She said. "I'm Kayla."

"Oh hey." I smiled. "Thank god. You seem normal. The other girl freaked me out." We laughed together.

I had really hoped that I made a new friend. She seemed really cool, and she was pretty too. I was confused on the whole Ashton thing, and I didn't want to cry or do whatever in front of my new roommate, so I told her I was going outside for air. That's where I found Luke, Michael, and Calum sitting at a picnic table outside my dorm. "Calum!" I said, running into his arms for a hug.

"Hey!" He laughed, stumbling a little from the impact.

"Hey guys!" I turned to Michael and Luke.

"Hi." They said in unison, then looked at each other and laughed.

"So... the whole band came down, huh? And a new person too..." I said, referring to Ashton's new girlfriend.

"Oh. You ran into Ashton, huh?" Luke asked.

"Yeah. So he has a new girlfriend. That's great." I said, trying to be happy for him.

"Ashton went through like a mental breakdown when you left though. She was just... There when he needed her." Calum sighed, resting his arm on my shoulder.

"What's her name?" I asked solemnly.

"Amanda. She's really a nice person, if you-" Michael was cut off by Luke punching him in the shoulder.

"It's okay, really. If you guys like her, that's great." I sighed, trying to make the best of it.

"Hey, it's okay. How about you and me go and see some random movie tonight?" Calum asked.

"That'd be great. Thank you." I said, giving him a hug before going back inside, yet again.

Calum and I had exchanged phone numbers when he was in Australia earlier. We used it to communicate & tell each other everything, but he left out one part: Ashton's girlfriend. He probably just did it for my sake, but I was still kind of upset about it.

-

Calum paid for the movie that night, and we saw 'That Awkward Moment' it was really funny & we both enjoyed it a lot. When it was over, he took me back to my room where I found Ashton sitting on my bed. "Oh, hey Ashton. What are you doing here?" I asked, trying not to cry on the spot.
