I picked up my phone as it rang obnoxiously from my dresser. "Hello?" I asked, not bothering to look at the contact before answering.

"Hey Taylor." I recognized Ashton's voice as it rang through my ear. I looked over at the alarm clock on my night stand. It read 1:15 am.

"Ashton, why are you calling me so early?" I said groggily as I sat up, hoping I wouldn't wake my roommate.

"I wanted to see if you could come hangout." He sniffled. I wondered if he were crying. My wonder turned into a for-sure as I heard his cries through the phone.

"Are you okay? Where are you?" I asked, worry starting to rush through my head.

"I'm in my dorm." He replied, sniffling once again.

"I'll be there in 5 minutes." I said, getting to my feet and slipping shoes on, not bothering to put on make up or change into actual clothes, for Ashton could be extremely emotionally unstable or drunk for that matter. Either way, the quicker I got there, the better and safer Ashton would be.

I hung up the phone and ran across the courtyard to get to the boys' dorm building, quickly getting inside the elevator and jabbing the 3rd floor button anxiously. As soon as I got to his room, I didn't even have to knock before someone opened the door and quickly pulled me inside.

Before I could say anything, I felt a pair of lips on mine as I closed my eyes and deepened into the kiss, forgetting that I had a boyfriend. I soon came to realization as I quickly pulled out of the kiss, just as quickly as I could get into it.

"Ashton..." I said, my voice trailing off. He flicked on the lights and I could finally see him. His eyes were red and puffy from crying and there were dried tear marks down his face.

"I know, you have a boyfriend, I'm sorry." He said, sighing and sitting on the edge of his bed. I didn't taste any alcohol when he kissed me, so that was a good sign.

"It's okay." I said, sitting down next to him, resting my hand on top of his, which we're laying in his lap.

He sighed. "I don't have a girlfriend anymore."

"What?!" I asked, eyes widening. Him and his girlfriend seemed perfectly happy together, I had no idea why they were broken up.

"Well, she's seen how great of friends we are with each other now and she's jealous. She says I never hang out with her anymore, that I only hang out with you. We fought and she left. She just texted me a couple minutes ago. She sent me a picture of her and this guy in bed together with the text saying "My new friend". They were naked, and I don't want to know what they did before she sent the text. I got angry and told her it was over." He put his face in his hands, crying even harder.

"Hey, hey. It's okay. You don't need her. You deserve better. I promise." I said, rubbing his back.

He looked up at me. "You really think I deserve better?"

"I know so." I assured him, smiling.

He leaned in for another kiss, but soon snapped out of it and looked away. I held my hand up to his face, grabbing his chin and turning his head back towards me. Before I knew it, I had my arms around his neck, and our lips were attached. I laid down as he lay on top of me, balancing all of his weight on his arms.

"I love you." I whispered.

"But you have a boyfriend." He said, getting off of me. He stood up and paced back and fourth. "You have a boyfriend." He repeated. "Oh nononononono."

"Hey, it's okay, it was my fault, I'm sorry. I'll tell Calum later today. Do you want me to go?" I asked.

"No. But it'd be better for the both of us if you did." He said.

And just like that, I slipped out the door, heading back to my dorm, where I would sleep until I had to confess everything that happened to Calum.

-----

I texted Calum the next morning after I got ready.

Me: Meet me in the park in 10 minutes. We need to talk.

Calum: Okay. Is everything alright?

Me: Not really. It's better to explain in person. See you soon.

"Hey." Calum said as he arrived, kissing my cheek.

"Hi." I sat down at a picnic table nearby.

"What's up?" he asked.

"I kissed Ashton. I'm so so sorry. It's just last night he called and was crying and told me his girlfriend broke up with him and I kissed him and I'm really really, really sorry." I spilled quickly.

Calum just smiled. "Taylor, you and Ashton were meant for each other. I don't even know why I tried to get in the way of that. It's totally understandable. You should be with him." He said, standing up.

"Really?" I asked, also standing up.

"Really."

"Thank you so much, you're amazing." I said, hugging him and smiling.

"Go get 'em." He said, returning the smile.

"Thank you!" I repeated again as I walked towards the guys dorm building.

-----

Ashton's door was unlocked, and I didn't have the patience to knock and wait for him to answer the door.

I walked in only to find him and his girlfriend (who I thought was his ex-girlfriend) making out like there was no tomorrow in the middle of the room.

"Ashton?"

"Taylor?"
