A/N: I wrote this chapter and I was really proud with it and then it got deleted. I was sooo mad. So this chapter will probably suck. LOL.

Lately, I had been going to -what I now called "Calum's band" (to get him annoyed)- practices. It had been very awkward. Not because Ashton's new girlfriend was sitting across the room or because the guys gave me sympathetic looks, but because I wasn't going to watch for Ashton anymore, I was going for Calum. Ashton and I exchanged uncomfortable glances. We tried to be friendly with each other but it was useless- we were going to be uncomfortable for a while, and it is what it is.

Calum and I left right when the practice was over. We went back to my dorm and watched a couple of movies. We even decided that we were going to be a real couple. This didn't really seem like a big deal because for the past couple of weeks we had been together all the time and were practically already a couple.

When Calum left yet again, I decided I wanted to release the tension between Ashton and I. I knocked his door, and after he let me in, I was the first to speak. "I want to be friends. Let's do something together, hang out sometime."

Ashton smiled. "I'd love that."

"Okay, cool. So what do you wanna do?" I asked.

"Uhh... we could play something like... I don't know." he laughed.

"How about we just go out for like coffee or lunch sometime?" I suggested, knowing it was a typical thing to do.

"Ooo white girls." Ashton said in his best teenage girl voice. I tried to hold back my laughter, but I couldn't, and I started coughing after laughing so hard. Ashton patted my back and started laughing too, and after my coughing fit, Ashton and I stood up from his bed where we had ended up sitting down on in the middle of our conversation. I was glad- we were already laughing with each other- and I felt more comfortable around him already. I was glad he was making this easy for me. If he wasn't this social, we'd probably be sitting across the room from each other, awkwardly saying cheesy jokes and staring at each other, something I really didn't want to experience.

We went out for lunch at a small restaurant down the street and it had been like we hadn't dated at all. It wasn't awkward, and it was really fun, like being with someone I've known since I was a child. We told each other jokes and ranted about ridiculous things such as unorganized instagram accounts and how stupid people were when there were issues over social media. It was a perfect day, and... I had a lot more fun in those three hours than I ever did with Calum. That's what scared me.

A/N: This was kind of just a filler, it will get better in a chapter or two. I'm sorry this one sucked and took so long to write. LOL. I started a new fan fiction called "On the Run" and its a Michael one. Soo you should go check it out.

Annnddd I almost have 1,000 reads on my other Ashton fan fiction "Bad Ass On the Big Screen" so a gigantic thank you to you if you've read it.
