You open the door to a very fancy restaurant that you and your boyfriend decided to go to today. You guys have been dating a little over a month now.
Its been 5 months since Hoshi has spoken to you. Ever since the interview, you didn't want anything to do with him. You were heartbroken. You don't do that to the person you "love."
"You know, for a popular restaurant, barely anyone is here." Jake, your new boyfriend, says as the waitress directs you to your table.
"Its cause of the famous people that are supposed to be coming in today. We only took the reservations that were made in February and that is why you guys are here now." She says, placing the menus in front of us.
"That explains that big table then." You say as you stare at the conjoined tables in the middle of the room. The waitress walks away, allowing you guys to look at your menus and pick what you find delicious.
"I want something with Seafood." You say, glancing over the "Sea in the City" section.
"Oh no babe, I can't be around Sea Food remember, I'm allergic." Your boyfriend says.
You frown at the forgotten information and looked at the pasta section.
"I'll have the Chicken Alfredo. What are you having?" Jake asks you.
You shrug your shoulders, "I don't know, why don't you pick something for me. Im going to the bathroom."
He nods as you get up, pulling your dress down and hearing your heels click against the floor. You didn't need to use the bathroom, you just wanted to be alone for a while. There are a lot of things you had to stop due to your relationship with Jake. It's not that you minded, you liked Jake but...you were changing too much for him.
You splash a little bit of water in your face and dry it with the white towelettes that they supply you with.
You exit the bathroom, bringing the towelette with you to clean your hands before you eat. You see a bunch of people taking their seats at the big table.
Oh right the people, You thought. You sat the towel at the towel station that they have and walk past the people.
You can feel stares on your back as you head back to Jake who sat patiently with his phone in his hands.
"Hey babe." He says, quickly putting his phone away.
"Hey. That's a big group of people." You point out. The table wasn't far from where you guys sat. It was close enough to hear their conversations though.
"Yeah, the waitress came back and I ordered for you. She said that they are some singing group, I don't know. I'm just hungry." He chuckled. Your stomach suddenly got a rush of butterflies and not in a good way. You felt nauseous and you could literally feel your heart drop.
"Singing group? What's their name?" You asked. He rolled his eyes, taking out his phone again and doing god knows what.
"Some number. Babe I don't know and to be quite honest, I don't care. Hold on, its Josh from the company. I have to take this." He says, quickly exiting the booth and stepping outside.
You put your elbow on the table and hold your chin with your hand. Great, now you are all alone. You closed your eyes and just thought to yourself. You didn't want to let Jake go. He helped you through so much and it would hurt you to let him go. But it just didn't feel right if that makes sense. It was like being with him was wrong but how were you supposed to move on?
"Um, here's your food." The waitress said with two plates.
"Oh sorry." You say, making some room for her. She puts down a plate of steak and mash potatoes for Jake and sets your plate in front of you.
