"Jesus, Y/N, would you chill out? It's just a carnival." Your best friend says as you two walk through the entrance to the carnival.
"I know it's just, remember that guy from the photo booth," You said, taking out the photo strip from your pocket, "Well, I'm just nervous, I saw him back in June and its August. I guess I'm just hoping i would see him somewhere."
Y/F/N rolls her eyes and grabs your arm. "What if he was just here for a little while? He could have been visiting or something. I just don't want you to get your hopes up and at the end of the day, have them crushed."
You nodded your head as you guys headed to the ticket booth.
"You want rides and games or just one?" Y/F/N asked as she pulled out her wallet.
"No, don't worry I got it. Let's do both. This way I have a chance of winning that giant teddy bear at the basketball game." You said, trying to seem happy but really you were hoping to see him so bad. You tried not to make it apparent to Y/F/N as you guys made our way to the basketball game but she could see right through you.
"Come on, Y/N. Just for now, don't even think about him. If fate wants you guys to come together, let fate do its thing."
You felt your shoulders drop in disappointment but you know Y/F/N had a point.

You managed to put the photo booth boy out of your mind for a while until you guys passed by the same photo booth that you were in before.
"You want to go in? We never had a chance to take one." Y/F/N commented. You shook your head and took out 4 more tickets.
"Why don't we go on the Ferris Wheel? The sun is setting and you could tell me all about Dino." Dino was Y/F/N's new boyfriend whom she had met the night where the photo booth made an appearance in your life.
"Speak of the devil," You said as Dino approached you and Y/F/N, looking around the carnival as if he lost something.
"Hey babe! I thought you said you weren't coming." Y/F/N says, hugging him and kissing him. You look away at the touching moment, feeling lonelier than ever.
"Yeah but one of my friends from out of town is only here for a little bit and he wanted to come back." Dino says, sending you a smile and wave as you stare at the couple.
"Okay cool, so now Y/N has someone to go on the Ferris Wheel with her." Y/F/N says.
"Oh no no no. Im not getting on an intimate lovers ride with a stranger." You said, shaking your head and backing away from the couple.
"Don't worry. Mingyu is cool, he's just blunt and adventurous-there he is!" Dino says as you stares behind you.
"Come on, the ferris wheel will be fun." Someone says behind you as you feel an arm drape over your shoulder out of the blue. Y/F/N's jaw drops as she stares at the figure next to you.
Confused by her reaction, you turn to your left and see a boy with black hair and the sexiest smirk on his face. Your heart drops and so does your jaw as you stare at the mysterious boy from the photo booth.
Dino pulls Y/F/N towards the ferris wheel which was not too far away. From the information you gathered from Dino, his name is Mingyu and he is from out of town.
"Ready?" Mingyu says as he removes his arm from your shoulder and places his hand in front of you, for you to walk with him.
Hesitating, you take his hand anyway and give the tickets to the worker. Still holding your hand, he moves aside for you to get in first, giving you the side with the open view of the water and the sunset. You sit down and so does he and silence falls upon you both.
"Uh- you-" You started to speak but he immediately cut you off.
"You know, you are way more beautiful than the pictures from the photo booth." He said, leaning back, looking at you with his dark eyes.
"Why possessed you to do that? I mean, that was crazy, I could have killed you." You said, in all seriousness.
"I knew you wouldn't. You looked too soft to do such a thing. Plus, I saw you and your friend by the photo booth while i was at the basketball game and i couldn't resist. It was too funny and your friend was flirting with Dino so there was no way that she would have made it in time. I took my opportunity and i'm glad I did." He said, with the brightest smile on his face. It was the kind of smile that made you melt, mentally and physically. You couldn't resist smiling back.
"I was hoping to find you here again but Y/F/N said it wouldn't be likely so I just forgot about it but here you are." You said, putting your head down which is a habit you have caught when you got shy.
You felt two fingers on your chin pick up your head and he turned your head towards his as you two stared at each other.
"Funny, I have been looking for you this whole time." He said. Everything else that came happened in slow motion. His head titled towards you as you saw him closing his eyes and you did the same. Your first kiss with the guy that you have been obsessing over for a month.
Mingyu was leaving in two weeks back to South Korean where he had some business. You were with him every day until then. And when he left, you never felt more heartbroken.
