"No way, that place is full of delinquents. You are forbidden from going there. End of discussion." Your mother said as she grabbed the plates to prepare the dinner table.
"But mom, all the kids at my school are going, even Jenny and Rose. How could I not go?" You begged, placing the utensils along side of the plates.
"I said no and thats final. Now, go tell your father the food is ready." She demanded. You walked over to your fathers office, dragging your feet and slumping your shoulders in an effort to try to make your mother feel guilty.
You knock on the closed door and wait for the okay to come in. After you father says to come in, you open the door slowly as he looks up from his computer.
"Mom said to tell you the food's ready." You said with no sort of emotion.
"Something wrong honey?" Your father said, closing his laptop and folding his hands in front of him.
"It's just-today was the last day of exams and in celebration of that everyone is going to Grove beach and mom says I'm 'forbidden' from going." You said, sitting down in front of your fathers desk. He stares at you with no expression on his face. Grove beach was like Coney Island, a beach with a bunch of rides and games including this huge arcade. It was the hang out spot for anyone who went to East Park High.
"What time was it meant start?" He said, getting up and walking over to you.
"Right around now." You said, getting up as well and walking to the doorway. Your father moves closer to you just in case anyone was hearing.
Whispering in your ear, he says, "Take the car and be back before midnight."
Your body immediately jolted up in happiness and you hugged your father, thanking him a million times. You were already dressed because you secretly hoped your mother would say yes but what your father says usually goes. You quickly raced past your father and the kitchen where your mother was still setting up the table.
"Y/N, where are you going?!" Your mother yelled out as you raced passed the living room and quickly grabbing your shoes and keys from the corridor.
"I'll be back soon. Save me some!" You said, opening the front door, ignoring the protests from your now distressed mother who looked over at your father in anger. He shrugged his shoulders and sat down, prepared for the complaints and the delicious food.
You run down your porch, putting on your shoes one by one. You almost tripped at the last step but caught yourself with your hands.
Hopping in the car, you made your way to Grove Beach, not forgetting to text Jenny and Rose that you will be arriving soon.

You parked the car close to the beach because you didn't want to lose it over the sea of other students cars in the parking lot. You saw Jenny and Rose waiting by the front entrance.Gracefully dancing your way over to them, they squealed at the sight of you being at The Grove.
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe you came. I know your mother must have been so pissed." Jenny said as you told the girls about the events that unfolded at the house.
"How badass, Y/N." Rose says, linking her arm with yours while you guys made your way over to the arcade.
"Okay so, Jenny's mom was kind enough to give us some cash for the tokens and now it is up to us to get the prizes." Rose said, shaking a cup that was full of tokens from the very bottom to the very top.
Entering the arcade, you saw the average amount of people and at the very middle, near your favorite game, Skee Ball, sat the boys from Seventeen all dressed in leather jackets in either the color black or red. In order to get to the dance dance revolution, you had the walk past the group which was uncomfortable and awkward for everyone. Seventeen kept to themselves but you heard stories about them before, beating people up, cutting school regularly, cliché stuff like that but you never paid mind to it. It was just rumors.
