Jane sat down on the couch and flipped on the TV, Dan in the kitchen making food. Jane sighed as the commercials flew by, and the program began.
"Whatcha want to eat?" Dan asked her as he shuffled through the cabinet.
"I don't know... I don't want to eat, not after all of that." Jane looked over at the window and saw the sun in the distance.
"Come on... I found some crackers." Before she knew it, crackers were soaring in the air and smacked her in the back of the head. The crackers landed on the floor, crackers scattered across the carpet. Jane rubbed her head as she turned towards Dan, but he was already shuffling in the cabinet.
"What was that for?" She asked as he faced her, but what he was holding defied what happened. He was holding a bag of crackers as he turned.
"What was- where did you get the crackers?" He looked down on the floor as Jane picked up the bag, grabbing the crackers and throwing them into the trash.
"I don't know... you threw them?" She suggested as he sat down in the chair next to the couch.
"Nope."
"But you-"
"Look. If I threw them, I would be laughing my butt off." Dan interrupted, smirking. "It would be funny." Jane rolled her eyes and turned back to the TV, a woman instructing kids to do something behind her.
"Hello, everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful day." The woman smiled, the kids smiling back at her. Jane squinted her eyes and sat up straight, a weird feeling in her gut. I'm seeing things... that's not there.
"What is it Jane?" Dan asked with of food. Jane stared at the TV.
"Do you see that?" Jane asked, pointing at the screen. The woman shifted, still looking at the screen. Dan was drinking some water to wash down the drink... he choked as he finally saw what she was pointing at. In the background, she could see a red balloon...
"Where did that come from?" Dan finished his water, starting to put the drink down. Once he finished his sentence, the TV cut out, static booming from the speakers. Jane jumped and quickly turned off the TV. She looked over at him and looked down at her hands. "Calm down..." Dan said as he looked down at her hands, which were shaking violently.
"Dan... we need to go. We need to find Bill."

"So... will you help us?" Jane finished explaining to Bill as he leaned against the brick in the alley, Eddie and Richie beside him. Stanley was just sitting quietly, his curly hair over his eyes.
"S-so, you want us t-to help?" Jane nodded, Dan shifting beside her.
"Please... I need my family back."
"Wait," Richie said behind Bill, coming out from behind him. "You want us to kill this... clown you said?" Stanley looked up at them, but said nothing.
"Exactly." Dan answered, looking behind him and around the street. "Now... where was that thing?"
"Where's what?" Eddie asked him, messing with the fanny pack around his waist.
"Nothing..." Dan mumbled, not even looking at Eddie. Jane rolled her eyes and turned to Bill, who was smiling.
"What's up with him?" Stanley asked, raising an eyebrow.
"He's not usually like this." She whispered, looking down the alley. She shook her head as she saw the path to the quarry, kids walking by on the opposite side of the road. "So... how's your summer been?" Jane smiled as she turned to Bill.
