Jane walked into the old kitchen, the smell of old wood meeting her nose. She coughed, inhaling a swirl of old dust. A table sat in the middle of the room, dust covering the top. Jane shivered, a feeling of dread in her gut. She looked around the kitchen, seeing a flashback of her nightmare a few days ago. She saw herself and the clown cornering her, an evil smile on his face. The vision faded as she looked away, shivering from the memory.
"Jaaannneee..." A voice said behind her, the voice suddenly familiar. Jane turned around to face shadows, and in them... a pair of yellow eyes. Jane froze, remembering the eyes. A flash of the night her parents disappeared revealed the eyes again, belonging to...
"The clown." Jane whimpered under her breath. Soon enough, the clown stepped out from behind the shadows, his head tilted to one side. He looked the same as the night she first saw him.
"Yes..." It smiled, "I've been looking-"
"Okay... I'm gonna go." Jane cut the clown off, walking towards the door behind her. She turned towards the door and reached for the doorknob. The clown grabbed her arm, suddenly in front of her. He had a look in his eyes, a look of murder and insanity. Saliva dripped from his mouth, his smile disturbing her the most of all his features up close. He used his other hand to reach up and grab her throat, his grip tightening.
"You fear me... and not because of that night..." He said, looking down at her. Jane just stared back, frozen in fear. Finally, they both made eye contact, and Jane felt as though she would faint. The eyes of the clown were... unforgiving. They were cold, dark... just like the night sky. It smiled once again, revealing rows of sharp and jagged teeth.
"Oh no..." Jane thought as it's eyes rolled back, the mouth cutting up through it's face. The mouth went to the height of it's eyes, teeth jutting out from it's jaw, sharper teeth growing in on top. Jane closed her eyes, and thought of her parents. "This isn't real... this is just one of those dreams... this isn't real... t-this isn't r-real..." She started to cry again, this time fearing for her own safety. She knew how this would end. It was one of her dreams, except... this WAS real.
"HEY! BABY HEAD!" Someone shouted behind Jane. She opened her eyes to see the clown, looking out behind her, his mouth still open, but slowly closing. It thrusted her against the wall and stepped in front of her, growling as saliva dripped from it's mouth.
"Eat shit, you psycho!" Another voice came, this time female. Jane looked up to see two kids she didn't recognize, both wearing black jackets. The boy looked familiar, like she'd seen him somewhere. The girl on the other hand... not so much. The boy reached towards the girl, who handed him a baseball bat with nails jutting out from the end. He swung it, laying a direct hit to the clown's face. The marks on its cheeks bled out, the blood drifting in the air around it. The girl took a swing with another bat, this time, a blade attached to the end. The clown roared, the girl landing a blow on it's shoulder. The blade cut through, but had no effect on the clown. It just simply grabbed the bat and pulled it out of it's shoulder, ripping it from the girl's hands.
"Hunter! NOW!" The girl yelled, stepping back at the clown loomed over her, roaring loudly. The boy swung once more, landing a blow to its back. It stuck there as the clown stood motionless, the same blood dripping from the wound into the air, floating around like the other wounds. Hunter pulled the bat from it's back and walked backwards, the clown shifting back as it's face turned back to a human shape, it's breathing lapsed and heavy.
"Pennywise... lives." It heaved as it sunk into the shadows, disappearing without a trace. Jane watched as the clown disappeared, making sure it was actually gone, before turning back towards her two saviors. The boy was kneeling down in front of her, his hand stretched out. Jane pulled her arms back, her neck sore from the tightness of the clown's grip.
