Jane stood in front of the Well House, the Losers' Club behind her as she turned to Bill, who nodded. Dan was behind him, and he shook his head.
"Alright guys." Bill said, turning around. "Th- This is our last chance t-to end this." Bill stuttered, and looked at Mike, a strap around his shoulders carrying bullets. Mike grabbed the gun on his hip and nodded.
"Alright, let's go." Jane said, using her crutches to walk forward. It had barely been a day and the leg was already swollen. It hurt to walk, but the cast made it bearable. She swung open the door and stepped inside, the house the same as what they had left it just yesterday. She walked her way down the hall and made it to the door leading downstairs when she froze. Screams echoed up at her from the dark below, the distant sound of water dripping making her shiver. She slowly walked down the stairs and slowly made her way to the well. She looked over the edge and her breath started to shake, the black shadows dropping deeper and deeper... to no end.
"Here." Richie said behind her, handing her a rope. She nodded and slung it over the pulley above the well, and let it drop down, the sound of the bottom never coming as the rope dangled down.
"There's a ledge." Mike pointed out as he looked over the edge. "I'll help-"
"I can get down myself. Don't worry." Jane smiled, handing her crutches to him. She grabbed ahold of the rope, tugged on it as hard as she could, and slid down, stopping at the hole. She swung and grabbed ahold of a bar sticking out of the side and pulled herself it.
"Here ya go." Mike said as he held the very end of the stick as he handed it down to her. She grabbed ahold of them both and pulled them in with her as she turned to continue.
"I'm going to go to the end of the tunnel and wait. Hold on." Jane said as Bill, Richie, Eddie, Stanley, and Beverly began to climb down. She propelled herself forward, and once again, her feet slid into the muddy water of the sewer. The smell wafted into her face and she gagged, but something wasn't right. She could hear water splashing from the right side. She looked over and froze. There, walking, staring down at the water, was Pennywise. She quickly jumped to the shadows and held her breath as she closed her eyes. She could hear something, a tune that he was humming... a lullaby that her mother used to sing to her.
"La la laaaa. La la laaaa la laaaa. Dum dee dum ditty dum ditty dum." He hummed as he walked, staring down at his hands.
"Hello?" She heard Staley's voice say from the tunnel she had went through. Pennywise's head snapped up and a smile crept across his face. He quickly moved to one side of the tunnel and peeked in, the lower half of his body staying in place. HE reached in and grabbed Stanley, who was frozen in fear, and dragged him out of the tunnel. Staley just gave up trying to defend himself, he just... laid there as Pennywise dragged him by the throat, chuckling as he went.
"Stanley?" Richie asked as the flashlight flipped back, blinding Jane.
"Help..." A small voice whimpered in the distance., echoing down the tunnel walls. Jane snapped up, recognizing the voice.
"Mom?" She asked, looking in the direction of the voice.
"Not this again..." Eddie groaned as he slid into the hallway where Jane stood.
"No, Eddie. Shut up. I know it was her..."
"That's what you say EVERY TIME." Richie barked, sliding down after Eddie.
"RICHIE!" Bill barked behind her. "Shut up."
"Bill... I know how you felt now. How you felt when Georgie-" Jane stopped talking, the voice echoing once again.
