"MOM! DAD!" Jane yelled as she slowed down, panting as the sun set in the distance. City lights reflected up on the approaching rain clouds, thunder rolling in the distance. She looked around, turning as she frantically searched. She almost tripped over a stick when she felt something press against her back. She stopped and could hear heavy breathing... familiar heavy breathing. Jane slowly looked up and looked up at the yellow eyes of the clown... of Pennywise. Lightning flashed overhead and Jane jumped, yelping at the sudden crash. The laughter of the clown echoed around her as he disappeared.

"You've seen the note... haven't you?" Pennywise's voice rang out from over the thunder. "Or you wouldn't be here."

"SHOW YOURSELF! YOU COWARD!" A sharp pain struck her face as a clawed hand slashed at her in the shadow, cutting over her left eye. She held onto her face as she fell back, landing on a stick that pierced her back, cutting into her spine. She cried out in pain as she took her hand off her face, which was burning.

"You don't know what happened to your parents... do you?" Pennywise walked out of the shadows. Jane just coughed, and said nothing, looking on in fear as the clown approached. "And you wanted to know... don't you?" He bent over in front of her, his legs and back making a 90 degree angle. They were face to face, Jane cowering in fear, Pennywise smiling as big as can be.

"You killed them... didn't you?" Rain began to fall as Jane looked over at the pipe leading into the sewers, the Barrens.

"Well, I wouldn't say that..." Pennywise laughed, the laugh awfully familiar. Jane looked at his shoulder and could see the blood from where Vi and Hunter attacked him, saving her. It was still there, even after 2 hours. "Let's just say... there in a better place." Jane's heart stopped, her breath stopping completely. It seemed as if the whole world had stopped, maybe even the universe. Jane stared at Pennywise, her eyes reflecting in his. Her eyes were full of fear, full of loneliness. Then, she glared her eyes and launched forward, slamming into Pennywise's gut. She grabbed the stick that had pierced her back and slammed it into his chest, leaving it as she stood up, Pennywise laying there... still as a stone. It was when she began to turn around, that she heard him move. She turned back to see him standing over her, his eyes different... a snake tongue popping in and out of his mouth. Large, spider, like legs sprouted from his back, splashing up mud and rain water as they slammed into the ground. His legs changed into a rattlesnake tail, the tail shaking rapidly as he stared down at her.

"Boo." He simply hissed, Jane bolting off towards the road as his laughter echoed across the Barrens. She bolted up the inline, slipping on mud as she went. She could hear him coming after her, his tail shaking rapidly as he climbed up after her. She grabbed the trees and launched herself up on the road, and stopped for a breather as she looked back over the side of the dip. She could see him coming after her, a few feet away in fact. Jane bolted down the road, no cars coming, just the two of them... and the fact that Jane felt as though she was going to die. She took a right as she neared the quarry. She reached the quarry in under a 2 minutes, and she could still hear Pennywise coming after her. She could see the family car, as well as a few people standing around it. Well, if you can call it standing. They were... floating. They were floating! Jane slid to a stop and stared on at the kids that were there next to the car, one of which she recognized as Betty Ripson, who had gone missing a few weeks before.

"Come float with us." They chanted, their heads tilted to one side. Jane began to breath heavily as she looked at the faces, then saw a small child holding a boat, the yellow raincoat reflecting the rain.

"Come float with us, Jane." Georgie smiled, his voice garbled and hollow. Jane heard Pennywise coming down the road, and turned around. He was smiling, the smile she saw the night her parents disappear. Then, she remembered the Neibolt House. This isn't real... this isn't real... That's what she had kept telling herself, earlier. She sighed and closed her eyes, the world seeming to slow as she inhaled and exhaled slowly.
