"Elsieeee." Heaven cooed, entering my room without eve knocking.
"Heaven." I turned to look at her, tilting my head a bit.
"Time to get ready."
I felt a little nervous then, nauseous really. The day before she had told me that she would help me get ready. She lifted up a small box and set it on my desk. I peered inside and found various beauty and hair products.
"But the party doesn't start for awhile." I looked up at her again, a bit confused.
"Girl. This will take a while. So sit down." She points at the chair as she explained it to me.
Slowly, I sat down and she pulled came up behind me. I felt a bit of tugging and then my hair long creme hair was pulled away from my face and into a ponytail. She scooted in front of me and grabbed a pale cream from her box and put a bit on my face. I had no idea what it was because I never really wore much makeup so I just sat there, letting her do her thing.
It took awhile, but she finally finished both my hair and makeup. I got up from the chair, my bum hurts from sitting so long. I stretched my legs and back before I wandered into the bathroom. As I looked in the mirror I was stunned for a moment, my jaw dropping in surprise. I looked like a completely different person. I gently touched my now curled hair.
"Oh, my," I muttered under my breath.
"Come on, Elsie! Get dressed." She said as I stepped out of the bathroom. "We gotta get going soon."
I picked up m clothes as I nodded. Hurriedly, I changed in the bathroom but paused to look in the mirror. I never was the vain type. It was more of trying to get used to how much of a stranger I looked like now. I looked very pretty and it was strange. Unfamiliar.
I shakily stepped out of the car, wobbling on some heels that Heaven asked me to wear. Taking a few steps forward I almost tripped over my own feet, but a steady hand had stopped me from falling. I glanced at Damien who offered a small smile.
"Thank you..." I muttered, straightening up.
"You're welcome." He replied before taking Missy's hand and leading her up to the large house that vibrated from the loud music being played inside. Damien had driven us here since Angel was busy.
Together, Heaven and I walked up to that house together. I mean she as walking while I shuffled beside her. As we walked inside the music blasted louder, almost making my head hurt, but some adrenaline numbed the pain. The house was crowded with kids from our school, but I realized some were not. Some of the people actually were adults.
I slowly walk past some people who had cans of beer in their hands, laughing at a joke someone made. Biting my lip, I realized I wasn't going to fit in much at a party like that. I turned to where Heaven was walking and then I noticed she was no longer there. Just like in the mall, I had lost her. Only this time there was very little room to move around and Angel wasn't there to guide me.
A small whine escaped my throat as I desperately looked around. I spun on my heel, trying to head for the door since I was feeling unbearably claustrophobic at the time. As I turned my legs gave way, no longer wanting to balance on the heels. I fell forward, right into a group of people talking. The other people recover quickly, but I fell right on m face.
BAM! My head hit the floor. It all happened so fast. Cries of agony rang out as I withered on the floor. Tears poured from my eyes like streams as I held my head. I began to panic as I felt a warm, sticky substance soaking my hands and hair. People began to gather around, not doing anything.
"The klutz strikes again!" I heard a familiar voice scream.
Despite all my pain and crying, I managed to spot Adeline. She looked amused and satisfied. Then I saw someone push through the crowd. It was Roland. He rushed to me, picking me up carefully. I grabbed a hold of him, sobbing into his chest as he cursed at some people, trying to get them to move.
