Tattle Tale

Dr. Bamph commences the session. "We start our sessions here by discussing our setbacks that have happened from the past time I've seen you," she says, directing the comment at Ria, since, obviously, the rest of us know that tid bit already. She stands up and walks over to the door, opening it to let the various orderlies in to "keep us honest". Pshhh we don't need that. We're the most honest and reliable people you could meet! "Craig, could you start us off please?"

"Dude, chill, would ya? Me and my bros-"

"My bros and I." Hash corrects gleefully. As you could've guessed, Hash is a grammar nazi. I guess it comes with his mental "territory" if you know what I mean. It gets kind of annoying, but you just can't stay angry at him. He genuinly just wants to help.

Craig scoffs, "My BROS AND I," he over-exaggerates, " just be chillin." We hear a discrete cough from one of the orderlies and a skeptical look magically appears on Dr. Bamph's face and she stares hard at Craig, silently pushing him to tell the truth before she says anything. "Fine!," he exclaims, "I might have tried to hack up that shi-"

"Don't swear!"

"That *ahem* shizzle we had for dinner two nights ago."

"And why did we have this set back, Craig?" My least favourite question ever is the dreaded "why?" Well, if I knew, I probably would've told you the first thousand times you asked, hmmm? You'd think therapists would get tired of asking that question, I mean they've been doing it since before the dinosaurs popped into existence, and asking it once is more than enough, but, alas, this sad species has not quite yet given up.

Craig snorts, " 'cause it was super disgusting?"

"Craig, that's not a valid reason and you know it," sighs Dr. Bamph as she leans back into her sickening disgustingly uncomfortable chair.

"It might not be valid, but it's def the real reason," Craig smirks.

"Well, we have to move on now, but we will talk more extensively in our private session." Dr. Bamph warns. "Next up is Effie. I know you have had at least one set back since I was there for it. Could you please elaborate for the group? And project your voice, please."

I think I hear her growl as she spouts out, "I tried to get rid of my meds yesterday, because I was feeling fine! I don't need those drugs!"

The doctor clucks her tongue. "You do need them, and those drugs were the only reason you were feeling decent yesterday. You will know have an orderly watching you every time you take your medication for a week." I barely suppress a shiver. I had no idea that Dr. Bamph could sound that scary, and the punishment was nothing to laugh at either. Most orderlies are not gentle if they decide to check your mouth to see if you've supposedly swallowed the pills. She switches her attention to Kade, who, along with Hash, is her favourite. Her voice gentles significantly. "Anything that you have to report hun?"

"No ma'am, nothing new here." He tips a fake hat off his head and she giggles. I roll my eyes. What a suck-up, I mean, really? Get a LIFE! After no comments from the peanut gallery on his statement, I but in.

"He stole one of my french fries!!!" Fae snickers and most of the adults in the room look at me disapprovingly while Kade sighs like I'm an embarrassment. I look around. "What!? He did! They were delicious! We never get tasty stuff here!". I protest.

Dr. Bamph cuts off my increasingly louder rant. "Thank you, Kade." She reluctantly turns to face me. "Jazz, something you want to tell us?"

"Heck yeah, I do! Those were awesomely drool worthy fries!" I open my mouth again to continue but that evil witch of a doctor (as you can see my opinions change at the speed of light) cuts me off.

"I was talking about your setbacks over the last couple of days."

"Oh. Ahhh nothing, then, thanks." I lie.

"Jazz....." I hear Jason and Kade caution simultaneously.

"Hmmmm," I tap my head as if trying to remember.

Dr. Bamph gets fed up and looks up at Jason. "She tried to scratch up her arms today, and then wouldn't eat her breakfast until she was forcefully persuaded." He tattles. What a loser! How could he betray my trust like that! I mean, sure, it's his job and everything, but, urgh what a freak! I don't like him anymore. Well, okay maybe not, but he's not on my nice list. Oh wait, nobody is...... I'll have to revise that.

Dr. Bamph continues to talk over my head as she asks, "Jason, will you please sit with her at every meal for the next week to make sure she eats everything?" What!!!!!! I have no problems eating! It's just that they spoiled my appetite at that particular moment. That is definitely not my fault! "Thanks." She replies after he gives her the affirmative. I grumble under my breath as Kade pats my shoulder sympathetically and she continues on to Fae.

As Fae had been on strict supervision since last time, after she managed to sneak a match in, the orderly watching her gave the update. And since she had been under an unshakable watch, there was nothing to pass on.

"Very good. Now, Hash, sweetie, anything from, you?" See! Told you they were her favourites.

Hash looks guilty. "I had to rearrange my food and cutlery for 15 minutes before I was able to start eating. I am so sorry, I promise that I will work even harder." I can't resist aww'ing at him which earns me the dirtiest look he can give, which pretty much just looks like a puppy hugging a bunny. After Hash had taken his turn, Lune didn't have any set backs and Dr. Bamph skipped over Rick because he's impossible to get to open up, which is probably why he's been here the longest.

She claps together as all the orderlies leave the room to go tend to their chores and we begin an acting game wear we had to act out like what it felt like when we first came here, in honor of the new comer. It all went disastrously when we just started goofing off, fooling around till the end of the session. Dr. Bamph had completely given up by the time she let us out for lunch. I nearly ran out the door, everybody at my heels as we smelled something delicious coming out of the kitchen.
