"Mom, did you wash my socks? I can't find them and I'm gonna be late for the bus. MOM!!!"
I'm clean, I'm tidy, but I'm also super tired. I usually help my mom around the house at least with laundry, but with homework and organizing my things from Fantigo and for Source, I didn't have time this weekend. I felt bad and she didn't mind, but now I really wish I had.
"Here!"
I felt a stinging sensation on the face as my mom whipped my socks right in front of my eyes.
"Ohh sorry yerinnie. Are you okay? I didn't know you were so close."
"Oh yes I'm god really, I have to hurry to catch the bus, thanks, bye, I'll call you when I'm back home!"
I put my socks on, slipped on my shoes and ran out the door. I'd say I'm out of shape because my lungs feel heavy, but with all the dancing I've done for practice I'm really not. I blame the cold morning air of April, it shouldn't even be cold in April anymore. Thankfully the bus came just in time; I went on and was able to give my legs a break as I found my usual empty seat in the back because i was one of the first stops.
In less than a week's time I'll be at Source practicing a song, meeting the other girls who I'd debut with. I was nervous, I didn't know what to expect, I'd been at 3 other companies so far, but Source felt real, it felt sure. I was just a practicing trainee at the other places, but Source is going to make me an idol.
I got off and walked up to SOPA, when I saw long brown hair in my side view.
"Ya! Why didn't you call me this weeked?"
"Ya yourself! You didn't reply to my messages"
"You know how lazy I am to text, talking is so much easier"
Hayoung really was too lazy to text me back 140 characters. I didn't want to admit talking is easier, but texting is much more fun. You can't use stickers and emojis in a phone call.
"True, count us as even. I'm guessing you were busy too?"
"Yes, I may not be promoting yet, but I was moving my things from Fantagio" I still heard NoNoNo playing in the streets even though Mr.Chu has been out which has also been on repeat. Hayoung and Apink have been doing really well.
"You're really switching??? You're going from Fantagio to Source?? Yerin, you know I'm going to support you, but Source is a nugu company. Fantagio at least has some money from the acting world, but Source is really poor they've never even trained idols"
I wanted to tell that she was wrong, that they use to co-manage GLAM with BigHit, but the scandal that followed them wouldn't be too good of an argument.
"Just support me. Just trust me, it's all I ask okay?"
"You know I will, better keep in touch with me though, training for debut is tough, but I know you'll get through it"
I believed her. I believed in myself.
***disclaimer, I dont know much about Apink's Hayoung and not calling her lazy, it just fits with the story and all i could think of for this scene (love apink)***
