Last Time...
"Good news, Cyrus. We've decided to let you get a dog." - Carly
"Basketball isn't as nice as your mediocre track team. Here, your opponents would crush you in a heartbeat." - Zane

Cyrus's POV:
Knock KnockIris opened up the door and smiled. "Hey, Cyrus! Come on in."
I entered her house. It was much cleaner than mine, and the designs of the walls and floors were so beautiful.
We both entered the kitchen. "I assume you're here for the puppy?"
"Yeah, I am."
"Alright. Let me bring the dogs out, and you can choose."
She left the room, and returned a few minutes later with three puppies and the mother dog. "These four are Bichon Frise dogs."
My heart melted when I saw them. Their fluffy white coat, along with their beady eyes. Not to mention the face of innocence on the puppies.
"They are so adorable!" I said. Picking one was like choosing food at a buffet. All great, and impossible to decide.
Then it just happened. That old cliche of a moment. Two of the puppies went and hid behind their mother, but there was one. One puppy that walked towards me and gave me a "hello" bark.
I couldn't contain myself. I giggled a little as I picked up the little pup. "This one. Is it a boy or a girl?"
Iris nodded approvingly. "It's a girl. So, what are you going to name her?"
I thought for a bit, and grinned. "Tina. How about that? Do you want to be called Tina?" The little dog gave an approving bark.
I put her down and looked at Iris. "Thank you so much."
My phone vibrates. "Oh. I gotta go. Buffy's basketball game is starting soon. But, I'll come back later to pick up Tina."
I give my new friend a little pet on the head. "I'll come back later. I promise."

Buffy's POV:
First game of the season. I see Andi, Cyrus, and Jonah sitting in the bleachers, cheering me on."Alright, Buffy." I say to myself. "Don't let anyone distract you. I'm Buffy, and I'm going to slay..."
The whistle blew, and the game was on. Zane managed to steal the ball from one of the opponents, and to my surprise, he passed it to me.
I took no hesitation, and threw it at the basket. It was worth it! I scored!
The game continued on. So far, we were in the lead by about six points.
Final ten seconds. Marty passed me the ball, and I threw it. Or at least I would've if I wasn't knocked over.
One of the opponents towered over me. "Aww! Did I knock over the little girl? Maybe you should've stayed in your castle, princess."
Marty ran up to me and helped me up. "Are you okay?"
I nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine."
The buzzer rang. The game was over, and we won! Everyone ran up to the two of us and started cheering.

I changed into more casual wear, when Zane came up to me. "I told you, Buffy. You stay on this team, you're going to get hurt."
