Chapter 03- "So I'm guessing you're the bully kid, well I don't like bullies."

I still sit there quiet in this seat. The guy in front of me however, is not so quiet.

"I TOLD YOU TO MOVE OUT OF MY SEAT." He says slamming his hand on the desk. I blink at him.

"Uhm, what's your name again?" I ask politely.

"Jackson, now get out of my-"

"Well, Jackson, when I sat down here there was no name on the desk. I don't think this is your desk. Maybe they switched them." I say.

"Yeah and maybe I'll switch your face around." he threatens me, I hear a few gasps. I very slightly move my foot, he doesn't even notice.

"Is that right?" I ask.

"Yeah!"

"Well then," I start and lift my foot hard and fast and kick him right in the groin. He drops to the ground holding his pebbles. "So I'm guessing you're the bully kid, well I don't like bullies." I whisper to him at his current level.

I then turn around to the teacher and she looks at me trying to fight back a grin. "Well, introduce yourself please?" She says.

I stand up. "Hey guys my name is Avary Tomas, I go by Ava though. I'm 18 and I just moved here." I say short and simple and sit down. Everyone is staring at me with wide eyes. I stare back and ask them "What? Is there something on my face?"

One kid answered "no."

I replied back to him and everyone staring "THEN STOP STARING AT ME." And guess what?

They did.

After about an hour in class and listening to the teacher speak about Oedipus Rex, class was finally over. I got up with my schedule and moved to the next class. Well I was getting up to move to my next class when Jackson comes up to me still holding his junk. I look over at him.

"Can I help you?" I ask.

"No, I just wanna walk you to your next class." He says and I look over at him.

"No thank you." I say politely and start to walk away. Well I can't certainly assure you that a kick in the nuts wasn't enough to stop this kid. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him. At first I was scared/heated, but now I just have a smirk on my face.

"I said, I wanted to walk you to class." He says gripping my arm tighter, my smirk never left my face. I nodded at him and we started to walk just until we saw this group of 6 guys in front of us. Jackson stops and looks at me as if to say 'don't go anywhere' and I rolled my eyes at him. When he approached the guys they all greeted him and were happy to see him, I am assuming these are his friends.

And right then and there I got the best idea. While Jackson was talking to the guys I went right up behind him and said "Jackson?" He turned around to me and I smirked wider and punched him square in his face. Well that's not all I did, violence is fun, right?

Ha, anyways, while Jackson was holding his face, I swept my foot right under his feet causing him to start falling backwards. When he got to the floor I punched him a few more times until I was pulled away.

"DONT YOU EVER DISRESPECT ME THAT WAY AGAIN PUTA!" I screamed to Jackson, I turned around to whoever was holding me and said "I am okay now, calm. You can put me down I promise I won't hurt anyone." They put me down and I made my way to the office. I wasn't angry, no, I was actually quite happy. Jackson knows now what to expect when being rude to me as touching me like he owns me.

Owns. Owns. Owns. Owns. Owns.

That word rang in my ear, I am not owned by anyone, not even my own parents. I started to cry, I never cry, I've never really had a reason to cry, but my own parents didn't want me anymore. I am not owned by anyone. I do not have a family. I do not have friends. I do not have anything! I started to cry harder. I felt someone wrap their arms around me and start to 'shhhh' and comfort me. I just cried for what seemed like forever. Then finally I calmed down enough to see who my comforter was. It was a boy, he was very unique looking, to me at least. He had these like bluish-grey eyes and red curly hair. I kinda tilted my head at him and he smiled lightly. Finally I stepped back and looked him up and down. I was waiting for him to have something cocky to say like: 'You like what you see?' But instead he just stood there.

"Uhm, what's your name?" I ask after a while of just standing there.

"Vince, short for Vincent. And you are?"

"My name is Ava, short for Avary, but please never refer to me as Avary." I say.

"Got it, so uhm, what'd Jackson do to you?"

I chuckled lightly before responding. "He uhm, he kept bothering me, and today is my first day and he tried to bully me, I don't like bullies though, there is no point, you always lose at the end." I explain and he laughs.

"Well you sure did leave a few knots." I smiled at his comment.

"How do you know Jackson? Did he used to bully you too?" I ask. He smiles sheepishly and replies

"Not exactly, uh, Jackson and I are best friends actually." He says rubbing the back of his neck, he's nervous. But wait what?!

"You're what with the devil on earth?!" I almost scream.

"He's actually not that bad, once you get to know him, he's cool, and he will always stick up for you. But it doesn't really look like you would need him to do that for you." he says chuckling a bit.

"I don't need anyone to be there for me or to 'stick up' for me. Thanks, but I'd rather not be friends with Jackson." I explain as nicely as possible.

"That's cool, and by the way you've got an amazing accent." he says smiling at me. I smile back faintly.

"Thanks, I uh got to go see the principle." I say walking away.

"Alright Ava, I'll talk at you later then!" he says waving enthusiastically. I laugh at this, he's adorable. When I turn around I come face to face with the principle and I don't even need him to say anything I just go straight to the office.

Nice way to start your first day Ava.
