chapter eighteen: the games

Lukas woke and stretched, He looked up onto the bed and almost jumped.
Joy lay there facing him, her cream-colored skin seemed to glow.
The Norwegian relaxed a bit and gave a small laugh for being scared, he looked back to the woman. She was sleeping peacefully, her hair fell messily over her face.
Lukas moved the hair from her face and ran his thumb softly over her warm cheek, he gave a small smile.
Joy whined and rolled over, giving Lukas a good view of her shoulders and back.
The amethyst eyed male pulled the covers over her and got up to make coffee, he drank the coffee as the others came into the room to get their coffee.

"Morning.", Berwald said and the others nodded to him
"Godmorgen!", Matthias exclaimed and was silenced by Timo.
"Shh! Joy is asleep still.", Timo glared and prepared a cup coffee, "she was scared to death yesterday, poor kulta"
Emil went to check on Joy and came back after there was a scream and his face was red.
The four looked at their younger brother, "what happened?"
"I saw... skin." The Icelander said and promptly passed out from a nosebleed.
Lukas went to check it out and was hit in the face with a pillow, "knock you jerks!"
He was pink in the face from seeing what Emil saw, Joy changing into a new shirt.
The albino came out with ruby red cheeks, "at least you aren't Gilbert"

The six went to the cafeteria to get breakfast before the games started, they got the food and went to sit at a table. The dark principal Rome and Rome himself stopped them, "you'll have to part with her now, until the end of the games"
The girl looked to her five friends and followed the principals to their table, the four older males explained what would be happening.
The games will be no holds barred, so she will be seeing what the students are really capable of and she was the only one who was staying out for her safety.
The dark Rome stepped up to the mic and told the students about the going all out.
The dark students whooped and hollared while Joy's friends seemed worried, they knew that meant showing what they are and possibly scaring the only human that attended their school.

It was soon time for the games to start, the pricipals led Joy to the spectator box where they had set up an extra seat for her.
She sat in the comfy chair and watch as each school's students came out onto the field, all lined up and glaring at the other.
The dark Rome stepped up and gave a small but brutal speech and referenced countries, he then glanced back at Joy.
"LET THE GAMES BEGIN!"

The students went to their seats in the stadium and watched as the first students lined up for the first event, Archery.
Tolys and his double lined up with some other students, they took aim and shot the arrows quite expertly.
Joy was impressed and clapped for her friend, the Lithuanian smiled and shot more arrows at the targets.
The dark Lithuanian intercepted Tolys's arrow with his own and hit a bullseye, the dark double gave an annoyed look up at the principals and Joy. Especially to Joy.
The event ended with the two Lithuanians tied in first.
"That was amazing!"
The albino congratulated Tolys and the brunette Lithuanian smiled at her, "there are more events so help us with encouragement will you please?"
Joy nodded enthusiastically, she was definitely going to cheer for her friends!
She felt a cold finger poke her back and she jumped, it was Emil's doppelganger.
"I'll be fighting for you in my event kona~ Cheer for me will you?~", the platinum haired Icelander purred and petted the Albino's head.

Joy slapped His hand away and went back to watching the games, the students were competing hard and in superhuman form. The albino was dazzled by the incredible acts of prowess, she was very excited by the amazing things her schoolmates and the rival students were capable of.
It was the heavy lifting competition, the bus was rolled in.
Ludwig, Matthias, Berwald, Alfred, Ivan, and their doppelgangers all were lined up.
"Why is the bus here?", Joy asked the principals, the dark ones chuckled.
"Just wait and see.", dark germania said and wen back to the games.
The albino looked back just as Ludwig picked up the bus like it was a foam block!
Joy gasped in surprise as he handed it to the others, who threw it at the lookalikes.
The Huge dane crushed the bus's bumper like it was nothing and slammed it on the ground, the Albino jumped at the loud thump it caused.
The cold hand petted her head again, "Magnus sure is strong, isn't he?"
The Icelandic male pointed to the dane, the same one who was at Joy's house!
The albino girl felt a warm hand pet her, she saw Lukas's doppelganger petting her like she was some sort of small animal!
Joy moved out of his reach and toppled out of her chair, Dark Rome caught her.
"Watch it.", he grumbled and glared at the two who were petting the girl.
Rome checked to see if Joy was hurt and sat her back in her chair, "be more careful sweetie."

The games all were amazing, from the shooting event, the swimming, the gymnastics, and everything in between!
The last event was an all out brawl between doppelgangers, the dark Rome stood up for his speech before the battles could begin.
"This is the last challenge of this year sadly.", he stated, "but this year we have a new prize in the mix, miss Joy Nadier. She will be the student of whichever school wins and give the winner of this fight a kiss, thanks for that pansy."
Rome gave two thumbs up and Germania facepalmed.
Joy turned red and all the male contestants either cringed or whooped and hollared in excitement.
"Remember, hold nothing back! So weapons are permitted!", dark Rome explained, "give a good fight! Let the battles begin!"
He turned and gave Joy a glance, "you will love this."
