Chapter twenty: adapt.

Egil had a firm grip on Joy as she was forced to watch her friends and now ex go back, her heart still had a soft place for Lucas but she was hurt by him just using her for revenge against these people.
The Icelandic male pulled her back to the dorm she was given, the place was a cage to her now.
"We're going to be the perfect family again~", Egil chimed, "your parents already like us, we made sure of that~"
Joy felt sicker and sicker with every syllable he spoke, the boy did not seem to notice or did not care.
Loki and Magnus were following the two as protection for the scared female, the other students leered at the female.
Joy hid as best as she could from the other students, they seemed scary to her now.
Especially after what she saw.

Egil led her in and sat her down, all while talking to her cheerily.
"Don't worry about a thing, I'll make sure you're okay.", Egil continued to smile, "you can adapt well, I know that for a fact."
The fuchsia eyed female looked down when he sat next to her, the platinum haired male ran his fingers through her snowy white hair.
"I think I like this docile and submissive Joy as much as the Dominant one.", the Icelander continued, "I love you, whatever position you want to be in with our relationship."

"What relationship?!", was Joy's outburst as she slapped his hand away, "I hardly know you!"
"And there goes the submissive one.", Loki commented.
The albino female was ready to bolt but was trapped since Magnus took guard over the door, the only other way out was the window.
Egil tried to take her hand again but she jumped right out of the window once she opened it, she fell and landed on her knees.
The pain was great but she started running through the yard to the street.
"And there she goes.", Loki said, "I told you to go slower, you spooked her."
"She is hurt, I have to go Get her.", the Icelander said and ran out the door after the female.

Joy was already a few blocks away, she remembered the route taken by the bus and was following that.
The albino female felt safer once she was in the outskirts of the town she lived in, her pace slowed down and she began to feel the adrenaline wear off.
She knew that her now ex lived nearby, but she shook off wanting to go there.
Instead she went to her other friend's home, Ludwig.
Joy knew that he would have a first aid kit and would be safe to be around, the pain Made her slow down as she limped up the steps.
She was at the door when she collapsed, the adrenaline almost completely gone.
The fuchsia eyed female lifted her arm weakly and knocked, her vision was blurry.
Two pale puffs were what answered the door, she bigger one picked her up and took her in.
"Mein gott, vhat happened?", Ludwig asked as Gilbert got the medical kit.

"I... jumped... out a .... window.", Joy panted and winced in pain.
"You probably sprained or fractured something", the blonde German male said as he set her down and propped her legs up, "why did you jump? Did something happen between you and them?"
"I was scared.", the female answered, "trapped... someone I.... don't know"
Gilbert came back with the first aid kit and his pet bird, "I have Gilbird to make jou feel better vith his awesomeness."
Joy gave out a breathy laugh, "if I was not in this much pain, I would give you a kiss on the cheek as a thanks."

Gilbert leaned down expectantly, "vhat are you vaiting for?"
The albino female gave another laugh and kissed his cheek, "Danke."
It was quiet for a bit as Ludwig worked on patching up joy, Gilbert broke the silence.
"I vas vondering, vhat vas jour thoughts on being kissed by Thurston?"
"Violated, it was disgusting.", Joy answered, "like hard alcohol."
Gilbert and Ludwig looked at each other then said, "Vodka."
"But why would he drink vodka if he is a student and underaged?", Joy asked, "I know you guys look older than what your are-"
"We are older than we look.", Ludwig stated, "you might as well know, you are one of the only humans to have joined our school."

"Zhe cat is out of Zhe bag.", Gilbert said and drank his beer he somehow got without her knowing, "right Vest?"
"Ja. Ve are not human entirely. Ve are living countries.", the blonde continued, "I am Germany."
Joy was dumbfounded, "please. Tell me more."
The two brothers sat down and explained things to her, how she was one of the few humans to join the school, why they were having school, the history, and much more.
The albino female's mind was spinning afterwards, she was dizzy from the information and wearing off of adrenaline.
"Jou don't look so good.", Gilbert said just before Joy passed out, "mein gott!"
Ludwig checked her pulse and for signs of other injuries, "she needs rest."
The blonde German put a blanket over the female and got up, "I vill have to call her parents."
