"Matt" i call, running out of the studio. I eventually catch up with him and I grab him by the arm.
"Matt, wait-"
"I, I can't imagine you two together Jen, I just can't"
Alex comes running towards us.
"Whats up bro?" Al asks
"You two, I know whats going to happen in about a months time,"
"What's that?" I ask
"Alex is going to break your heart by ditching you for another woman, don't you see he's a player?"
"What?"
"Hold on a second, first things first, I am not a player, second i don't ditch women especially not your sister, and finally, and I think the most upsetting, it hurts me to think that you think these things Matt. I've known you for basically all my life, your my best friend and Jen is your sister. I would never ever hurt her and it kills me to think that you would think that I would treat her like scum."
I couldn't help but smile, he's sticking up for me. He sounded genuine aswell. I couldn't believe it.
"Al, you have to understand that I think you're a great guy and your like my best mate but shes my sister and I'm just very protective over her"
"She has a name you know" I say, "And also Matt you have to understand that I'm no longer a child anymore, you don't need to protect me I can make my own decisions. I will tell you the truth: dating Alex has been the best thing that has happened to me in a while. I know its only been like a couple of days but I've never been happier!" Al grabs my hand and kisses my on the cheek
"I've always liked Jen, I'm not going to treat her badly"
"I just want whats best for you Jen" Matt says, almost looking like he's going to burst into tears.
"And at the moment thats Alex"
Matt sighed and then paused for a second. He opened his mouth to speak.
"I'm sorry for being such a dick about this all, I was just shocked at first. I'm so sorry I doubted you Al, I know you will never screw with her, I just had to be sure. I hope you to are happy together"
Matt gives Al a bro hug and then hugs me.
"I need to go back to the flat for a while, will see you guys in a couple of hours then?"
"Sure thing"
Matt walks out the door and gets into his car and drives off.

It was just me and Al in the hallway.
"Did you really mean those things?"
"Every single word, well it would be all true if we were actually dating"
I laugh and then smile
"I meant what I said to in a way, today has actually been quite fun, I guess I couldn't of pick a better fake boyfriend than you Mr. Turner!"
"Likewise Miss Helders!"
"How about going for a lil' walk then?"
"If you want darl"
