AUGGIES POV
I didn't regret letting Jack cheat off me I mean really what's the big deal anyway? I wasn't surprised when I heard my name over the loudspeaker. "August come into the main office "Mr. Tushmans voice cracked.mr. Browne let me go, I could see Jack shooting me panicked looks and I could see Julian smiling smug. I made my way to the office slowly. When I got there Mr. Tushman grimly motion for me to come into his office."Auggie" he began "your mother called she thought you should know that Daisy died".
"Oh" I said fighting back tears. It would be stupid to cry but Daisy was my friend.I left and went to the next period, lunch.
I sat for a few minutes alone until Jack Will came out of the lunchroom. He came over and sat down across from me. He was quiet. Finally he spoke.
"What was that about?" Jack asked.
"my dog Daisy died." I told him.
"Oh.... I'm sorry". Jack said patting my back.
"you're not scared to touch me?" I asked shocked.
"No, why would I be? "He questioned, puzzled.
"you'll get the plague!"
When I said that I saw his eyes.
Eyes that filled with pain for me. He smiled.
"Good."
That's what I fell in love with Jack will.
JACK WILLS POV
Yeah, I felt bad for Auggie, maybe that's part of the reason I stood up for him. That was the moment I realized the only thing keeping him from making friends with his face. I wanted to be his first in school friend. I guess when Julian made fun of him something in me Snapped. I don't really remember much. My fist collided with his jaw and we were fighting. Then some teacher was pulling Julian away and Mr. Browne was pulling me away. I kept fighting, Julian deserved this, and more.finally I gave up and turned into Mr. Browne. Why did I do that? Auggie refused to speak to me , anyway! I was not going to give up that's the reason.
When I got back after my two day suspension I talked to Auggie's New friend.
"Hey, summer!" I called, she turned waiting for me. "Do you know why Auggies mad at me? "I asked.
"ghost face." She replied.
"what"? I asked.
"that's all I can say "Summer spun away from me and fled leaving me more confused than ever.
SUMMERS POV
I watch Jack every time I could. He was always confused. I don't think Auggie noticed. through lunch he was confused and math and half of science. I guess something clicks for him because he seem sick , suddenly. He kept looking at Auggie with increasing panic. Finally, finally he raised his hand and asked to go to the nurse. He caught my eye as he left.
"tell Auggie I'm sorry." He mouth's, and he was gone.
"I will." I whispered.
JULIANS POV
I stood up and wiped my mouth, with my sleeve.
"I thought we were friends!" I yelled, Jack ignored me, which only made me angrier. Since Jack will threw the first punch he was the only one suspended. I was free to leave as many mean notes for Auggie as I wanted. Though I still wasn't satisfied. I didn't need Jack I had Henry, miles, and Amos. Who needs Jack I thought. Nobody at least that's what I thought for a while but after a bit I really started to miss my friend.
