AUGGIES POV
"I'm so excited!" I squealed to Summer.
"Me too!" She smiled.
The day of the prom was a big deal after all.
Me and Jack are going together Summer and Amos Charlotte and Henry. Now in eleventh we had our prom. No longer eleven we were all sixteen. Bear was now nine and Joni was fifteen! Gordy still plays his accordion on the street corner and Charlotte still gives him money he always responds with God Bless America. Via and Justin went to college already finished actually. They're engaged now. Via's daughters name is Violet. She makes it clear that I'm her favorite "relative." She's only one now.
Alice graduated last year and Natalie is in our school she's going to prom with Miles. Max and Ryan are fourteen now! Jezabels twenty six she has a son he's got one blue one brown eye, Duke.
The doorbell rings loudly. I rushed to open it Jack and Amos stand outside. Me and Summer run out excitedly. After pictures when we arrive we see everyone there. Jack holds my hand and we dance together swaying. Slowly swaying to the slow rhythmic beat of the music. Too good at goodbyes and we remember when we met. Images flash through my mind. Me and Jack meeting. The first time he called me dude. Our first hangout. Our first date. Our first time sitting together at lunch. Our first kiss. The beginning and end of our prank war. Our first sleepover. Moving grade to grade with him. Picking our college together. Meeting each other's family. I have amazing friends. Julian is long gone by now. So I have Amos, Miles, Henry, Jack, Summer, Charlotte, Alice, Natalie. And a lot more I don't ever get bullied anymore. I've had more surgeries so I look more normal. "Yeah," I whisper "were going to be alright."
"What did you say dude?" Jack asks sweetly.
"Nothing." I smile and kiss him. Then we keep dancing.
