The Adventure Kids follow the Star

Chapter 5

Back with Bo, Kali, and the gang~ 

"And now our tour will continue past these pebbles on the path" Ruth was giving a little tour to the gang as they continued on their journey. The twins couldn't help but giggled at the bubbly little sheep. 

"You're so cheery" Ann smiled at Ruth. 

"I blame you for this" Dave sulked at Bo. 

"Look!" Kali suddenly pointed out to the rest of the gang up ahead, spotting Mary and Joseph. "There they are!" 

"Well, come on!" Brock told the gang as they started running. "Let's go!" 

"Yeah, then we'll warn them that creepy soldier and dogs are after them" Ann added as they ran towards Mary and Joseph.  

Kali suddenly panicked, stopping the twins. "No! No! No! No! If we tell them about what'll happen it'll disrupt the time stream! Haven't you guys ever seen any of those movies? Or learned our lesson from last time with Wilbur Robinson?" 

The animals weren't really paying attention while Kali reminded her younger siblings. "Remember, we can't be rash about this. We got to take it slow" 

"Right!" The twins nodded, trying to act serious now even though they were terrible at it. 

The kids and three animals raced down the path, finally catching up with Mary and Joseph while they called out to them. Mary and Joseph soon spotted them running over and couldn't believe it. 

"Bo? Kali? Guys?"

"Mary! Joseph!" Ann called out as the gang finally stopped right in front of them. "Thank goodness we found you"

"What's going on here?" Joseph asked confused at to why they were here, but most specifically Bo.  

"Mary" Bo began, almost out of breath. "You're in danger. You need to listen to what I'm about to say extremely carefully..." 

Bo started explaining to Mary about the danger that awaited her, but unlike Kali and the twins, all Mary and Joseph could hear was Bo's honking sounds.

"You ever feel like he's trying to talk to us?" Mary asked Joseph while smiling towards the donkey. Kali and the twins face-palmed to that.

"She's not getting it" Bo groaned in frustration then turned to the adventure kids. "Why can't she understand me?" 

"She's not like us" Brock explained to the donkey. "She doesn't have the ability to talk to animals like we do" 

Bo then came up with a new plan for Ruth and Dave to act like dogs, putting on a show while Kali and the twins would try to explain to Mary and Joseph about the danger they were in. 

"Kali, guys, what's going on?" Mary asked the three siblings. 

"And what is up with that donkey?" Joseph added, referring to how strange Bo had been acting lately. 

"Try to understand. But you see... your-" Kali tried to explain the situation. But before she could, the humans got distracted, all looking to see Bo mimicking Mary and Joseph. 

"Wait, wait, wait. Is that supposed to be me?" Joseph pointed out as the donkey looked like him. 

Mary hid a giggle. "It's totally you" she playfully slapped Joseph on the shoulder. 

Bo then had Ruth act like one of the mean dogs while Dave had flown off. Mary and Joseph still didn't understand a bit at what the animals were trying to tell them. Staring at them, completely confused.   

"There is something seriously wrong with those animals" Joseph said, thinking they were acting crazy.

"I think Bo's trying to tell us something" Mary told her husband.
