The gang continued traveling some ways with Bo and the kids in the back, behind the wagon Joseph was pulling with Mary sitting in it.
The kids and animals looked a bit sad as Joseph was angry after the trouble Bo had caused at the market. Although the kids tried explaining to Joseph that it wasn't his fault, he obviously wouldn't listen to them and didn't trust the donkey anywhere near Mary.
"Joseph..." Mary started, trying to talk to her husband.
"No, no!" Joseph refused firmly. "I do not want that donkey near you or the baby"
Joseph then stopped pulling the wagon for a moment and tried to get Bo to leave, glaring and yelling at the donkey. "Go! Get out of here!"
"Sheesh, no respect for the donkey who just saved his wife and the new king" Brock quietly grumbled to his sisters and they silently nodded.
"Joseph, it's fine" Mary calmly told her husband, trying to reason with him.
"Fine?" Joseph asked. "Mary, this is not going well, alright? I just promised four people I'd repair the carts that he smashed"
"Yeah, trying to save her life" Dave and the twins glared slightly towards Joseph.
"Maybe if you pulled the cart, Joseph would want you to stay" Ruth suggested to Bo.
The gang kept their distance while they continued listing to Joseph and Mary's argument.
"No, he is just too much to deal with" Joseph ranted on about Bo.
"He's just a donkey" Mary calmly told him.
"Just a donkey?..." Joseph began scornfully.
"Yeah... He's just a good-for nothing donkey that has only ever brought us trouble" Joseph said, berating Bo for his actions.
Bo put his ears down in sadness once he heard that and it made Kali and the twins feel sad for him too.
"That's harsh, man" Brock quietly glowered towards Joseph.
The poor donkey, feeling upset now for being rejected started walking off in the opposite direction. "Come on, Dave. Let's go"
"Wh- Where are you guys going?" Ann asked the donkey and dove, although she had a feeling she knew.
"Where do you think? To join the royal caravan" Bo said before glaring back towards Mary and Joseph. "Where we'll finally do something important"
"No..." The twins frowned sadly.
"Bo, wait" Ruth stopped him. "What about the star?"
"She's right" Kali added, coming over. "It means something"
"You said so yourself" The twins spoke up.
"You guys follow the star" The heartbroken donkey told the gang angrily. "I'm done with that!"
"But... what about our tiny flock?" Ruth asked a bit sadly. "Flocks stick together"
"We're not a flock" Bo glared at the sheep then hung his head sadly. "I never should have followed you, or asked you guys to help me"
The kids and sheep felt hurt as they watched Bo then leave with Dave.
"You guys stay with Mary and Joseph. I'm gonna try and talk some sense into Bo" Kali told her younger siblings and the sheep before going after Bo.
Mary soon turned around back to the gang and noticed that Bo was gone. "Bo?" Mary called out. "Bo!"
Back at the market, what the gang didn't know, the soldier was still alive and got up out of the well. He then went to fetch his dogs so they could continuing hunting down Mary and the others.
