The Adventure Kids follow the Star

Chapter 8

Bo and Kali ran together as fast as they could back to find Mary and Joseph and their friends. 

They kept running down near the market area when they spotted the evil solider and his dogs.

"What?!" Bo gasped out of shock to see the scary dogs and their master. 

"Oh, did I forget to mention?" Kali asked the donkey, since they had been so distracted to all that's been happening. 

Elsewhere~

"Bo? Bo! Kali!" The twins, Dave, and Ruth were desperately looking all over the place for their friends. 

"Bo, buddy, where are you?" Dave flew around to try and find them easier while in the air. 

"Bo, Kali, are you there? Bo? Kali? Bo!" Ruth called out desperately, when the donkey and tomboy ran right past her. "Oh, hey, Bo. Hey, Kali. Kali! Bo!"

"Guys! You're here!" Bo turned around, happy to see his friends while Kali hugged her siblings.

"We've gotta help Mary and Joseph" Dave said. 

"I know" Bo replied. "Where are they?"

"Yeeeeaaah, we hadn't gotten that far" Ruth admitted sheepishly. 

"The dogs are here" Kali told the gang. "We can't take them on our own"

"We need to find help" Bo added before he and Kali ran off to find Mary and Joseph. 

"You can count on us!" Dave called out to his best friend. 

"We won't let you down!" The twins added as the donkey and teenager were quickly out of sight. 

"Alright people, let's do this thing!" Brock cheered, raising his fist in the air triumphantly. "Go team Mega Mash!" 

"That's a video game, stupid" Ann told her twin brother in annoyance. 

"I thought we agreed to go by the name team super cool" Ruth said.  

"As I recall, it was team Dave is awesome!" Dave spoke up, boasting about himself, spreading his wings out. 

"Can we stop!" the others turned as Ann got their attention. "This is no time to argue about stupid team nicknames. We got a VIP to save here!" 

"Huh?" Ruth and Dave just gave the teen girl that confused looked since they didn't knew what she meant by that, although Brock knew exactly. 

"You're right" Brock nodded in agreement with his younger twin sister. 

The group cheered and put their hands, hooves, and wings in the center circle as a team, ready to carry out their most important mission yet.  

"Split up!" Brock instructed the groups, if they were going to find help quickly. "Ruth, you go with Ann. I'll go with Dave"   

The group nodded and then took off. 

"This is nothing compared to the time our friends Chris, Joy, and Gizmo witnessed the first Christmas with their superbook" Brock mentioned to his twin sister as the gang started running off in their separate directions. 

"Or when we put on that Xmas pageant when we were kids with the Herdmans" Ann called back to her twin brother until she couldn't see him anymore.

Brock went with Dave, as the teen boy and dove searched around town for any help they could possibly get.  

"What are we doing?" Dave asked the teenage boy, worried. "We're not gonna stop those giant, scary dogs with a fluffy sheep, three puny kids, and a tiny donkey. Even with a very masculine and brave dove"
