TEDDY

Is it possible to blush on purpose?

I haven't mastered it quite yet, but I will most certainly look into it. As long as I get to see that look in her dark blue eyes again.

Currently, we are in the same class. Noelle's sitting beside me with her head bowed over her desk as she works on something.

Curiously, I lean over the isle and peek at her paper.

Homework. She's doing her math. What a strange thing to do in school.

I know what I'd like to do...

Sliding my gaze to her, I hold back a growl. She is focused completely on her work, her soft cheeks flushed from the stuffy classroom. Of course, she isn't trying to tease me by biting her beautiful plump lip, yet she is. Her pale eyebrows are scrunched in concentration adorably, making a cute little line between them.

So gorgeous.

Eventually, she focuses her blue eyes on me, a deeper blush filling her cheeks entirely. "You're such a creep," she chuckles silently.

"You like it," I smirk, stealing her pen.

Scowling, she tries unsuccessfully to take it away from me. "I need that!"

"Why," some boy behind us asks, " Are you flirting with him?"

Noelle gasps, horrified, and turns to glare at the boy, "I am not flirting with anyone!"

"Denial," sings a girl beside him, smirking darkly.

"I--I'm not in denial!"

"Ohhh! She stuttered," the girl laughs and the boy glares at me angrily.

Noelle glares at them both and shakes her head,"He stole my pen!"

"Nice excuse," the girl teases.

I frown.

"Shut up, Jane," growls Noelle, clearly peeved.

"Don't flirt with my sister," snaps the boy, taking me by surprise.

"You're her brother?"

Noelle glances our way, uninterested, "Theodore, this is my little bro, Nate. Nate, this is Theodore." Then she continues arguing with Jane.

I hold out my hand to shake, "Nice to meet you."

I don't know why I didn't notice before, he smells like her and their faces are shaped similarly.

Maybe I was too distracted by Noelle to focus properly.

Begrudgingly, Nate shakes my hand, "Whatever. You look like a creep."

"He is a creep," snickers Noelle, bringing a scowl to my face.

"I am not!"

Before they can argue otherwise, Mr. Logan addresses us bitterly. "Is there a reason why none of you are listening to me?"

"' Cause you're boring as hell," remarks Jane loudly, making Noelle gasp.

Mr. Logan rolls his eyes, "Don't you think I know that? I have to suffer math every day, too! And I have to deal with you kids! You have it easy!"

"You get paid," Jane counters coolly.

"And you make my job Hell."

"I try!"

The bell rings.

We all stand up and gather our things. Surprisingly, Mr. Logan doesn't give Jane detention.
