Phylicia's POV
----
Lawrence lightly dried Phylicia’s eyes as she rested in his embrace. ,”Want to tell me what happened?” Phylicia swallowed hard refusing to speak. “Okay you don’t want to talk about it, I understand.”
Lawrence’s warm palms gently massaged her back and sides. ,”I’m sorry you’re hurting.” Phylicia nodded; her head pounding. ,”Do you have some Tylenol?” Lawrence nodded excusing himself to go upstairs to get the head-ache pill.
Phylicia closed her eyes and relaxed into his large beige sofa until he returned. ‘Phylicia here’s a glass of water and two pills.” Phylicia opened her eyes taking the glass and pills from him. ,”Thank you Lawrence.”
Lawrence nodded looking down at Phylicia wearily before lightly running a thumb along her cheek bone sweeping a few stray hairs away from her face. The simple gesture made Phylicia feel cared for even if it was just a small touch. “Lawrence I’m fine, I just need time to think and pray. Do you mind if I stay here tonight?”
Phylicia could have swore she saw Lawrence’s eyes brighten excitedly, but as quick as it was there, it went away. Lawrence smiled down at Phylicia lightly. ,”Of course.” Lawrence turned on his heel’s gathering blankets and sheet’s out of a nearby closet for the guest bed.
Phylicia’s eyes swept his back as his muscles flexed and relaxed each time he moved. Phylicia quickly swallowed half the water in her glass pushing away any sense of attraction towards him. She still was married to Trevon, no matter what they were going through.
Phylicia’s heart didn’t seemed to receive the memo as butterflies fluttered around in her stomach like mad as she watched Lawrence’s finger tips and large hands fondle and finger the covers onto the bed. Lawrence looked up at Phylicia to see her staring at him.
”Are you okay?”
Phylicia nodded and her heart shot into her throat as the door bell rang. “I should get that.” Lawrence light brushed past Phylicia touching her side to move her before he disappeared into the hall way. Phylicia walked over placing her water glass on the night stand.
A woman’s giggle from down stairs caught Phylicia’s attention as she slipped her feet from out of her shoes. Phylicia got up and peered out of her room sneakily to see Lawrence and a larger women kissing before they pulled away.
”Come back later? Please?” The woman looked a little upset but nodded as they kissed and parted one more.
Phylicia waited till he shut the front door.”Lawrence I’m sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt your plans..” Lawrence looked at Phylicia a bit surprised before sending her a full smile. ,”Don’t worry. You aren’t.” Phylicia nodded.
“ If it were a problem I would have asked you to leave, but the fact that you are in my house only sleeping 2 doors down from my bed room excites me.”
Lawrence lightly verbalized on the double meaning of the word excite his eyes twinkling as he slipped into his own bed-room. Phylicia lightly blushed before walking off to her bed room to pray and think to herself.
