Aching

My skin crawls
My muscles tremble
My bones are heavy
My heart is weighted
All I have done is lay in this bed
And I ache for you.

My body aches for you
My skin is crawling to you
My muscles tremble for you
My bones are heavy without you
My heart is screaming for you
All I have done is lay in this bed
And I ache for you.

When my skin melts
When my muscles waste
When my bones are empty
When my heart silences
When my body decays
I will reach for you
My soul will intertwine with yours
All I have done is lay in this bed
And I ache for you.

I ache for you
Not my skin
Not my muscles
Not my bones
Not my heart
Not my body

But something deep within

Deeper

It was my soul that encountered you
Those many years before
Consumed by you
Stolen from you
All I have done is lay in this bed
And my soul aches for you.
