that same friday

cora

Cora had spent a good part of her day thinking about her date. She didn't know what to expect tonight. She wanted to be excited but she knew not to keep her expectations so high. To be quite honest, Cora was expecting to get stood up once more tonight. A part of her was starting to regret even listening to Veronica and Sawyer months ago about making a Tinder. Cora thought that if she never made an account in the first place then all this disappointment and false hope would not have happened. She would be simply living her life, be deep in her work, and trying to get her business up.

In all honesty, Cora had been thinking about not going tonight at all. Just to give Gwen a taste of her own medicine if she did decide to show up. But she knew that would be a super petty thing to do, and quite frankly she's not that type of person.

So, Cora decided to make her way toward the Griffith Observatory. After parking her car, she headed to the building. Cora looked out to the sea of city lights, a bit in awe at the view. She stood there for about ten minutes till a voice from behind her caught her attention.

"Beautiful isn't it?"

Cora tensed. She recognized that voice.

It was Gwen.

"So she did to show up. This is a shock." Cora thought.

Cora let out a shaky breath. She was a bit nervous and excited to finally see the person who she has been talking to for the past few months. Cora slowly turned around, her eyes slightly widening.

"Oh shit you really weren't a catfish."
