The temperature quickly rose as you worked your way through the pipes and valves of the orange-tinted hallways.
While she could still speak, the lady clearly didn't seem to have any real control beyond the chambers.
Probably a good thing.
But there were still plenty of obstacles left before you could finally reach freedom.
You then realized that you'd probably have to face down the sinister A.I. to escape.
Considering that she nearly killed you via a furnace, you didn't really know how you could kill her.
Just keep on going...
You had reached a room filled with huge pistons, all of them pushing up to the ceiling. Only the corner ones actually touched the top, though.
You could see an opening at the top, which you had to shoot a portal through to reach.
"You're not even going the right way."
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Because I don't think you're going where you think you're going."
A few seconds of silence, as you got past the obstacle, and went down the hall to your next challenge, hung still in the air.
"Hello?"
Your next challenge came in a smaller version of the pistons you were faced with, but they were pumping back and forth and could easily kill you if you got squished between them and the wall.
As you continued to try shooting the orb fast enough to pass the obstacle, the lady came on.
"Didn't we have some fun, though?"
NO!
"Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said 'Goodbye' and you were like 'NO WAY' and then I was all 'we pretended we were going to murder you'?"
"That was great!"
More silence.
"Is anyone there?"
By now, you had passed the one obstacle and a second one that was quite easy.
Now you were following a tube, carefully walking on it.
As you jumped down and made your way across a goo-laced minefield, the lady came on and started spitting off a list of random sentences.
"You really shouldn't be here."
"This isn't safe for you."
A pause.
"It's not too late for you to turn back."
"I'm not angry."
Another instant pause.
"Just go back to the testing area."
You picked your pace up. Now you were flying up another set of stairs.
"Okay."
"I am going to kill you now."
Barely faltering, you ran even faster.
"I feel sorry for you, really, because you're not even in the right place."
"You should have turned left before."
"It's funny, actually, when you think about it."
You were speeding down a hall. A hurried arrow, dark red, pointed down into a square hole, one that was protected by a guardrail.
You were going to have to jump down there.
Before you could, though, the A.I. had a few more lines down her metaphorical sleeves.
"Someday we'll remember this and laugh. And laugh. And laugh. Ohhhhh boy..."
"Well. You may as well come on back."
You didn't even glance backwards.
In fact, you nearly tripped falling down the hole that led to your next obstacle.
