The next few days were spent with Mithrah settling back into her old life. Although nobody let her do any work, she made sure her time was not spent idly. In other words, she was annoying one family member or the other and ate all the food she had missed whilst being at London.

Soori and her were playing with a deck cards when Thara approached her with a basket full of poojai items. "Mithrah, I'm going to go to the temple. Do you want to come?"

She leaped up at the chance and accidentally knocked Soori out of the way who fell to the floor. He looked up at the girl who ran off to get changed. "You only asked her to come temple. Why did she run like you offered her money?"

Thara laughed and waited for her friend's arrival. Soon after, Mithrah came down having showered and dressed traditionally. She was wearing a red half saree and appeared as glowing as one could be.

The two girls had gone to the temple and spent an hour, walking around the place they had spent numerous moments in as a child. The guards followed them with a small distance before Mithrah got restless and told them to wait outside. They opposed at first but she was relentless causing them to reluctantly obey and wait outside. The girls then prayed and rambled to each other about everything they didn't get the chance to when Mithrah had left for London.

"What are you praying for?" Mithrah asked after noticing the very serious expression on her best friend's face.

Thara smirked. "The man of my dreams. You?"

"Magical powers."

Thara nodded, "Nice."

A few seconds later Mithrah made a face. "Really? You prayed for a man?" Unlike Thara, she was rather patient in wanting the arrival of her future husband. Mithrah believed they were stress and nothing more. She wanted some time in peace with no worry and that meant no man for her.

Her best friend bumped shoulders with her. "Hey, don't judge me. Life is getting pretty boring." She said sighing and looking up at the sky dramatically.

"Then find a hobby." Mithrah replied as the two slowly turned around to leave the temple.

"My man could be my hobby," Thara said with a smirk.

Mithrah shot her a disgusted look, pointing out where they were before the girls stepped out of the temple. As Thara paused to put on her shoes, Mithrah hurried onto the road to reach the sweet stall on the other side without noticing the vehicle that was fast approaching. There was a loud noise as the car slammed its brakes and horned at her. She froze in the middle to turn and glare at the driver and give him a piece of her mind. A young man - who at first looked a little worried - suddenly grinned at Mithrah who was cursing him to the lowest pit of hell.

With an amused expression, he watched her shout from the middle of the road not actually listening to the words. His lack of an appropriate reaction infuriated Mithrah even further making her want to pull him out of the car and punch his rather perfect face. But instead, she threw him one more harsh glare as Thara pulled her away. The car drove past swiftly but not before blaring its horn one last time at Mithrah.

Out of anger she squealed. "Who does he think he is?" She asked snarling at the black Audi that now sped down the long lane. For once she was frustrated that her guards were nowhere to be seen.

Thara shook her head. "I don't think I've seen him before. What's he doing here?"

In Mithrah's small village, everyone usually knew each other. It was rather strange that there was an Audi driving in it with an unfamiliar driver.

"I don't know but if I see him again, he's going to suffer in my hands," Mithrah said clenching her fists. He may have a pretty face but she told herself she would reconstruct its bone structure with her bare hands if she caught sight of him again.

The two girls walked back home after her guards returned from the tea stall that they were relaxing at. Mithrah complained about the stranger the entire time. Thara just heard everything with an amused expression. She sounded like a child who was whining about her ice cream being taken away even though in Mithrah's defense she was almost run over by a car.

When the two girls arrived at the gates of her house, Mithrah froze. "Isn't that the car?" She hissed from on spot. Thara looked inside to see that there were two new cars parked in the front. One was certainly the Audi that almost ran her friend over and the other was a new Mercedes she had never seen before.
