"I didn't know Farrah... Liked girls," I said quietly, trying to keep my voice hidden from Eli, who's full name is Elizabeth I found out, and Farrah who were in the room next door. They were talking in hushed tones, although I heard Eli get up and walk around the room a few times. I assumed they were arguing about where Farrah was going to go after we graduated in a week.

"Is it a problem?" Tyler asked from his place sat up on the bench. I was positioned between his legs and had my head resting against his firm chest, already tired of the day even though it was only 11am. I shook my head quickly and took a step back. I tilted me head up so that I was looking straight at his face.

"No, not at all. I was just surprised. I always thought she was into guys," I explained. Tyler's laugh shook through his chest and he pulled me closer again, resting his chin against the top of my head the way he always does. My heart swelled and my stomach exploded in butterflies at the tender gesture. I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt like this with Aidan, apart from when he came back from Australia.

I had so many questions that I wanted to ask him. I wanted to ask him about Rose, and New York. I wanted to know where we stood, what we were. I wanted to know everything about him, but now wasn't the time and I didn't want to push him away. He'd tell me when he was ready.

I sighed and took a step back, just in time for my stomach to rumble loudly and for Tyler to shoot me a look.

"I'm fine..." I started to protest when he jumped down from the bench and started making his way over to the fridge. I knew there was no fighting it so I just sat down at the bench and waited for him to finish making whatever he was making for me.

10 minutes passed and he'd fixed me a sandwich and a cup of coffee as well as a bag of popcorn for himself. We ate in silence, I tried to ignore the way the food sat in my stomach, but it was like I could feel the food turning into fat through my body, I could feel myself getting big again. After a few more minutes of comfortable silence, Eli and Farrah came into the kitchen, both had red-rimmed and swollen eyes, but Eli's bright blue eyes were flashing with anger, while Farrah's just looked tired.

"We're going to get all of her stuff," Eli stated before grabbing an apple and storming out of the door, a second later, the front door slammed shut.

"Sorry... She's just really angry at the moment," Farrah apologised before taking a step to follow her, but Tyler stopped her.

"Are you sure it's safe to go?" He asked, concern etched deep in his features. Farrah nodded.

"He has work today, the house will be empty," She said before disappearing around the corner. The toot of a horn told us she was gone. Tyler turned back to me with a glint in his eye.

"So, what should we do to fill our time?"

"You want to go to a party?" I asked, wringing out my hair with a towel. Tyler was sprawled out across my bed and looking up at me from under his thick lashes. I was surprised he still had energy after the hike we'd just finished, but then again, I'd never seen him tired after something like that. It was like he had an infinite supply of energy.

"Yeah, Lily is throwing one tonight and it sounds like it's going to be good," He said, sitting up and throwing my t-shirt on. I shrugged into it and turned to my mirror.

"But it's cold."

"Wear a jacket," He quipped.

"I'll get sick with wet hair," I whined.

"That's a myth."

"What about Farrah?"

"She's staying at Eli's tonight," He smirked.
