"Briar!" Tyler screamed up the stairs of our townhouse at me.
"We have to leave in 20 minutes, I swear to god if you're still in the shower..." He trailed off and I heard the echo of Rose's giggle float up the stairs, followed by Tyler's deep laughter. I climbed out of the shower and dried myself off, before slipping on my gold wedding band and the rest of my jewellery. I walked into our bedroom and picked up the deep red dress that Tyler had laid out for me while I was in the shower.
"On second thought... Maybe we can stay..." Tyler murmured from behind me. I spun to find Tyler casually leaning against the doorframe, his tie untied and hanging around his neck, and his dress shirt was tucked into his dark pants. I grinned and motioned for him to do my dress up.
"This is the most important day of Farrah's life," I explained, but I couldn't fight the shiver that went through my body when his cold hands touched my back, after 8 years together he still made me feel 17. He sighed and pressed a kiss to my shoulder before getting a towel and started drying my hair.
"I know," He murmured, "I'm so happy for her."
He began to twist my hair into a long fishtail braid while he talked.
"They've waited so long for this, I'm still struggling to believe it's actually happening."
He finished my hair and I began to apply my makeup. At that moment, Rose came bounding up the stairs and threw herself onto our bed, falling into a fit of giggles at whatever was on her mind.
"Mama! You look pretty," She squealed and crawled over to Tyler, who was perched on the edge of the bed.
"Doesn't she look pretty, Daddy?" She babbled. Her words weren't very well pronounced, but she was saying full sentences, which was pretty impressive for a four-year old. Tyler grabbed her feet and dragged her close, she erupted in another fit of giggles as he sat her between his legs while he gathered her long dark hair in his hands and started braiding it, like he had mine.
"She looks gorgeous," He murmured, never taking his eyes off of me. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks and went back to doing my make-up, knowing that if I kept watching I would get too distracted by my gorgeous family.

The chapel was already full by the time we got there, thanks to Rose deciding she wanted to strip down naked and run laps around the house just as we were about to leave. Tyler wrapped his hand in mine and carried Rose on his hip. She was the spitting image of him, with the same dark hair and dark oval eyes. She even had his olive skin tone. The only feature of mine she seemed to have was her high cheekbones and ever-growing hair. Her hair sat just above her waist now, and we'd only cut it two months ago.
"This reminds me of our wedding," Tyler murmured into my ear, but before I had a chance to answer, I was pulled into a hug by a very pregnant Kara.
"Briar!" She screamed into my ear before letting go and pulling Tyler into a hug, Rose included. I looked up and saw Mason shaking his head with a small smile on his face before he stepped forward and pecked me on the cheek.
"Hey, Bri," He said quietly. Keeping a cautious eye on Kara.
"Should she be moving is much?" I asked cautiously. He just shrugged and shook his head.
"Probably not, but I assume after three kids she knows what she's doing," He grinned. I beamed back and scooped Rose into my arms, somehow, she'd wriggled out of Tyler's.
"Where are the rug rats, anyway?" I asked, looking around.
"We left them with Nana, too many things to break here," He laughed and Kara came back over, motioning for me to give Rose over.
"Hey Rosie," She cooed.
"Aunty!" Rose squealed and wriggled out of my grasp, straight into Kara's arms. She reminded me so much of Gabby when she was younger.
"I never thought I would be a Dad to four by the age of 26," Mason shook his head, laughing. Kara and Mason seemed to have a problem with kids, specifically, not stopping. Liam and Kane were born a year apart, and then Xoe was born two years after that, and now, a year later, they were expecting another boy.
I just shrugged and squeezed his shoulder reassuringly.
"I'm happy with one, but hey, some families are meant to be big," I grinned and he groaned. People started moving into the Chapel, and I excused myself to go and find my family. I found them laughing with Mum, Claire and Addy, and Gabby was standing off to the side, her head buried in a book.
"Oi, Gabby," I hissed. She looked up and a grin stretched across her face as she slammed the book shut and threw herself at me. She was still short at 16, and her head only just reached my shoulder. I kissed her forehead before pulling back and shooting her a smile before stepping into Mum's arms, and then Addy's. Claire was too engrossed in her conversation with Kara to have seen me, but my heart swelled at the fact that she had come.
"Shall we go inside?" Addy asked, and linked her arm in mine.
"Just think, five years ago, we were walking into your wedding," She grinned.

"Farrah looks gorgeous," Gabby grinned and gave Rose a small squeeze, making her laugh loudly and draw the attention of a few tables. Farrah and Eli were dancing in the middle of the room, I could see the love radiating off of them. Tears sprung to my eyes and Tyler wrapped an arm around my shoulder protectively.
"What's wrong, love?" He murmured.
"I just never thought we'd ever be here." I answered, sniffling.
"At Farrah's wedding?"
I shook my head.
"Just here, us, Rose, Kara and Mason, I never thought I could be this happy, I never believed this could be my life," I explained. Tyler just nodded and pressed a kiss to my forehead.
"Well you better start believing it. Because it isn't going to change, ever." He grinned and pulled me into a tight hug before pulling me onto the dance floor, joining the other couples that had started to migrate. 8 years ago, if you'd asked me where i would be now, happily married with a beautiful daughter and an amazing circle of friends, and happy, isn't an answer i ever would have thought i'd give, but looking around, i realised that was exactly what it was.
"I love you," He murmured.
"I love you more," I answered, a grin on my face.
"I love you, and our beautiful family, and our amazing friends. I love everything about our life. Because it's ours." He smiled and swung me in a circle. Laughter escaped my mouth, and I didn't bother to try and cover it. This was what happiness felt like, and I was so glad that I could finally experience it, every day.
"This is ours."
