***END OF SUMMER***

"Taylor, I'm so nervous for tomorrow," I told him lying in bed.

It was one o'clock in the morning and I couldn't sleep, too nervous for my first day of college in the morning.

Taylor rolled over "don't worry babe, it's not as bad as it seems."

 "I know," I told him.

I did know. I knew I was freaking out over nothing. College was going to be a great experience. "I'm going to try and get some sleep while I still can," I told him.

"You'll do great tomorrow, no doubt in my mind," Taylor said kissing my cheek.

 "Thank you."

My alarm clock went off and I was nowhere near done with sleeping. Taylor was already up and he made me a delicious pancake breakfast. When I drove out to the school the parking lot was pretty full. Many of the freshmen were getting dorm assignments. Lucky for me I lived ten minutes from campus so I didn't need a dorm room. I went to the line of people and stood behind a girl with beach blonde hair pulled up into a high bun. Typical Californian. A girl behind me tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and saw her staring at me.

"You're about to drop your phone," she said pointing to my back pocket.

"Thanks," I said shoving my phone deeper into my pocket.

"I'm Cassie," she said.

"Carmen," I told her.

Cassie and I were both in the education building for most of our day. After all of our classes were over with for the day we walked over to the campus coffee house.

"So wait, you mean to tell me that Taylor Lautner is your fiancé?"

Cassie said in shock.

"Yeah, shocking I know."

"Not entirely, you're sweet, funny and really pretty," she commented as we sat down with our coffees.

 "Well thanks."

No one ever really told me I was pretty.

"Do you have a boyfriend," I asked her.

"Yeah, we've been together for about a year or so. His name is Tyler."

I looked at my watch as she said this and realized I was going to be late meeting Taylor for a celebratory dinner.

"Shoot, I'm sorry; I promised Taylor we would celebrate my first day of college."

"That's ok, I understand. I'll see you tomorrow."
