The next night the palace was filled with guests from town and overseas. I would be tending to the ball and serving food and giving any help I could provide until every guest had been taken care of. The ballroom was beautiful, compared to last night you could see all the decoration of red and gold around the room, with the beautiful chandeliers shinning from the ceiling. There were long tables set up on both sides of the room with buffet tables as well. Foreigners were excited to taste our food which they found to be exotic.

The royal family was seated at the end of the ballroom at a long table that was sitting on top a small set of steps. Lucas sat in the middle since this event mainly focused around him. The room fell silent when the princesses began to enter the room. They each waited to walk down the steps until they were announced. The princesses also had special seating at their own table which was already set with food and wine. The princesses were dressed in glamorous and sparkling gowns. They each had their own individual beauty that could not be matched. After they sat at their table the musicians started to play music again.

Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and engaging in conversation. I made sure to help tend to the guests as needed. I could see Lucas sitting at the table. He look a little bored and uninterested. Mr. Nicolas got up from his seat, everyone went silent knowing that the king was about to speak.

"Hello, everyone! Thank you for joining us on this beautiful evening. We have this event to welcome these lovely young women, they are here because one of these young women will be chosen to be the bride of Prince Lucas."

The crowd was in awe had they heard the news and everyone was smiling. They looked happy that their next prince would be selecting a wife. For them it meant more security and less worries. Nicolas sat back down.

Lucas had a confused expression on his face, as was I. He announced it as if Lucas no longer had a choice and that it was required that he chose a wife. Lucas shook his head lightly; he or I couldn't believe that they were enforcing this. It was that or his parents had another discussion regarding the matter. I could tell Lucas was frustrated; he got up and decided to start dancing, he went to the table where the princesses were and immediately went to Blythe to ask her. I smiled to myself, he must have been really starting to like her.

Their energy fit well together, there gliding across for floor, they both were smiling. After a few moments others started to join in on the dancing. He made sure to dance with each princess the same amount of time. He did not want to show any form of favoritism. But I could tell. After his dance with Natalia, he seemed to like her a little more. It had seemed that she had opened up a little more.

Ms. Flora nodded in my direction, letting me know I could join the festivities. I nodded back and left the ballroom to go to my room to change. When I reached my room there was already a dress hanging in my room in a bag. I asked Ava and Marie for help getting into the dress. I curled my wavy hair a bit and pint half of it up and let the rest fall down my back.

I unzipped the black bag the dress was hanging and my jaw dropped at Caspians' work. The bodice was made of the beige colored silk with lace sleeves starting at my shoulders. It had a heart shaped neckline and the middle was decorated with white pearls. The bottom of the gown was midnight blue and flowed down to having a few wavy frills at the bottom. The bottom was decorated in gold glitter. Caspian had another gift in the bag, in a little white box there was a pair of gold diamond shaped earrings, and there was a note outside.

Tonight you will be a princess! Now go and sparkle and show off my hard work!

- Caspian.

I did not expect such a beautiful gift with such beautiful jewelry. I did not know how I would thank him. Ava and Marie helped to fascine the gown and helped me with a little makeup. I thanked them and hurried back to the ballroom. When I returned music was still playing but it seemed that everyone was mingling and only a few were dancing. When I walked down the steps I noticed a few people looking my way. They did not recognize me. Lucas had noticed me and came over, greeting me with a bow. He held out his hand to me for a dance.
